Some ideas for improvements: 1) Pressing [enter] is the only reason I need to move my hands - changing this to e.g. [space] would make the transitions smoother. 2) Needs some way to recover if I don't have the weapons to pass a level. Perhaps keeping a % of xp earned even if I fail? or have the majority of the xp as a level-complete bonus? 3) Quit-to-menu,or at least the ability to change sound options while playing.
would be improved with hotkeys for start/stop +direction + choose train. inertia would make it more of a challenge. also the option to lock the camera onto the selected train.
This has lots of potential, but is let down by a couple of frustrating things. I find the building placement quite tough - because the viewpoint isn't fixed when placing, the building shadow keeps moving after the cursor has stopped. This wouldn't be an issue, except I feel like I should be placing them with pixel-perfect accuracy to get the most out of my planets. Perhaps a radial grid for building placement, so I can always fill it up?
Great! I love the graphics, and the awesome dives makes my little guy seem both stylish and angry :)
There were a few parts where it was obvious what I was meant to do, but not obvious what the consequences were...I don't know how you did it. And the little hints in places show the care put into playtesting it. Fantastic game, I can't wait for the next episode :)
Too much slowdown, and no quality option to help! Needs something to buy with the money - I'm happy with not spending "points", but if you call it "cash" I want something to do with it. Also, the theme might have got a chuckle and an extra star a few months ago, but by now it's been done to death (pun intended).
Pretty good fun. Would be improved if I could tell which soldiers were within a trench, bunker etc. - perhaps an overlay, or status symbols on the men?
What an utter waste of a card. The game is OK, but this wouldn't have got a card if anyone else had submitted it. Marketing has taken over - you should have picked something people like, not pumped up your demo.
