Nice little time waster. My only suggestion would be that to list in the enemy spawner upgrade in the enemies tab that you have to increase it manually. Took me a while to figure it out and it makes the game much more interesting.
Hmm I have a hypothesis... with so many negative reviews they must be artificially inflating the star rating since it is a kreds based game... way to sell out Kongregate.
Was fun for a while but there are some things that are just annoying. The upgrades get stagnant... and then at the start of the 3rd level that ghost comes from behind and kills you non matter what your health is... just frustrating.
Good game, but I dislike that the objectives don't update until after you die, especially since it is a requirement complete them all to beat the game. They should either be updated in game or you should be able to complete them anytime. Other than that great job.
The reward system needs work. It's frustrating to get money and experience based off of time and nothing based off of difficulty. There should be a base reward at each difficulty + extra for time and less mistakes.
A tip for the hard badge: Skip levels like the other comments suggest, but once you get to the normal levels play them all, as the hard don't give you more experience. The 2 secret badges mentioned by rhysyboy2000 don't help since they cost more gold than you'll ever have before you can afford them, so just buy whatever experience badge you can afford.
Has some bugs. The drum roll sound comes on even if you turn off sound and music. Also the game will freeze if you select " Do you want to join another race? " while you are trying to upgrade your racer.
Good concept, but could use some variety. Different types of weapons with different strengths and weaknesses(ie more range for less damage), different ships, and special abilities would take this from a mediocre game to a great one.
Some tips to make the game a little easier:
1. Get lasers for your core, and darts/spikes for your left and ride sides. After investing a lot on magic for the sides I found out that it was a waste of time and spikes to much better. The lasers in the middle will clean up what the spikes don't get.
2. If you are sick of grinding and still want to get the hard badge, do a google search for "free mouse recorder". It allows you to setup a program and then walk away so it does the grinding for you.
I was able to get the hard badge with minimal effort without spending any money on this silly game.
I feel like this game is really poorly balanced. The basic fighter is incredibly weak compared to the other two. You have the option of switching levels with the elevators, but since the enemies just come from everywhere after a few waves it makes it pointless.
