The game does indeed save. Have you ensured that your browser is not clearing your cache after restart? A recent Firefox update changed some users settings to wipe cache and local storage on reset.
The prestige is totally broken now. I don't what you did in the update but you ruined the game. First level of an ability costs 1 point, level 2 costs 31 points!! That's insane and obviously broken.
Logged in today and all the sudden I need hundreds or thousands of prestige points in layer 2 to buy anything. Before it was 4 or 10. This would take years to complete. Letting the game run for days at a time only gets me to about ~40 points.
So that's it, I'm done. Updated my rating accordingly.
Progress is way too slow and there is no strategy involved with choosing upgrades, at least for the first 2 or 3 hours of the game which is how far I got before I got bored and quit.
The latest update is not working. None of it is. I even deleted all my cache and cookies, restarting my save. Still doesn't work. Blue ball does no target after a wall hit, and no Mt is rewarded for being offline.
Battle power gained from soldiers and archers shows up as +NaN. I can't buy "Garnison" because the price is so absurdly high it's impossible to ever reach (1E240000). Every time I switch focus to another tab I come back to crazy amounts of food - about 100 times as much as I should have gotten. After you unlock elves, the horses are completely useless because you can't use them on fairies, only the farm (which you don't have).
It got buried under other comments but as I stated earlier, the save feature is fully implemented but will not work on Kongregate because of reasons beyond my reach. I don't know any working method to implement save currently other than the one that I used for this game which doesn't work on Kongregate. It's unfortunate and it makes me quite bitter as it was one of the main mechanics of this game, my next games won't implement such a feature until this known issue is solved or a workaround appears. I made the first 4 nodes as exploration never created the first boss because of the fight cooldown. Was making millions within the first two hours. That's how stupid and awful those fight timers are. Fight timers need to go.
Really was enjoying this game a lot but later you get bottlenecked by cooldowns on fight nodes to the point were no upgrades of any kind will make you gain money any faster. I don't see the point in forcing bottlenecks with fight node cooldowns like that. At the very least let us invest in an upgrade that reduces those god awful cooldowns.
After sitting through the obnoxiously long tutorial (which i got sick of and skipped through half of), I went to the first several nodes and still never saw any actual gameplay. Got bored and quit. A note to the developer: less boring text, more gameplay.
I have 3 suggestions:
1) Synch the music correctly. I can't get past the jingle bells part on the megamix on hard because the synch is way off. I tried in both firefox and chrome, its unplayable either way.
2) Save feature is badly, badly needed. I can't stress this enough. The game is useless without a save feature.
3) The frets in the background should be synched to the beat of the music. I'm talking baout the white horizontal lines. In rock band and guitar hero they are synched to the beat for a reason. When they just come down randomly it screws me up.
