Since there appears to be a lot of bally-hoo about beating the final boss, the answer is simple.
At some point during your fight (go for defense and health to keep it as long as possible) the opportunity for 5 in a row should come up. Use this, use it on a counter attack, and then just stick to building up defense while the boss takes 3x+ his own damage back on himself.
I beat the boss on second try, easily, using this method. Good luck.
It's really ridiculous how much content is recycled from the other games. You're actually going to make the exact same troops, with the exact same attacks, and stick them in EVERY sequel with only 3 or 4 new enemies?
It's no wonder you're able to spew these out so quickly, you barely have to add a few paragraphs of code each time.
Not only that, but the hero's attack HAS to be one solid chunk that can never be interrupted? How many times has he set up, an ally killed the enemy, and he still goes on to attack the air in front of him? Hundreds. And he won't fall back or listen to any orders until said attack is finished.
Disgusting lack of effort, compounded by the fact that you never listen to the community when making these.
for those having trouble speed running Golaint IV, I recommend big laser + high caliber cannon. It allows you to two shot the first boss, and the high caliber cannon is far faster than the nuke at taking down the end of level boss.
Hope it helps, fun game!
And at the guys struggling over level, go play some of the destroy side missions. They boost your level and xp by massive amounts, and are pretty easy.
Woo for unbiased review....
The rainbow puzzle is a nice concept, but executed pretty poorly. Getting to more advanced coding though. The strobe light thing is annoying, and too easy. And the rocket puzzle needs to have different points of origin each turn, so that it isn't easy to get it on the second time around.
The secret button doesn't deserve a comment....>_>
Add better graphics, sound effects, backgrounds, etc.
The trophies were a nice touch, though. =D
2/5, appropriate for your second game ever.
