Fun game, although once you get a good setup going it becomes pretty easy. First 40 levels are the hardest, after that it's mostly clock watching.
Some tips:
1) Start with a Pixel/Bomb combo (both at level 5), that'll take care of things for a good while. Then attach towers to those, always making sure they form additional combos.
2) Explosive mining is OP, especially when you chain a bunch of mine towers at the beginning of the map. Once you get explosive mining going, the challenge is pretty well done.
3) Fill the whole back of your map with tiled green and yellow towers- they fit perfectly together and the snipe shot covers the whole screen. I'm on level 101 right now and towers are barely making it on the map.
Fun game, Dan.
PS- I think the tower placement bug has to do with whether or not an animation (bullet, missile, etc) is in the radius when you try to place it- be worth checking out.
would like to clear save data so I can start over from the beginning- fun to work your way up to the top.
Also, no congratulatory message when I finally finished all the achievements :(
aaagh! doesn't save progress- if flash locks up, you start over at the beginning.
poo- was already through to the lava and working on the vulkan stuff. now I think I'll skip it.
1000 alchemy. (1.5 hours of clicking to get there.) Still 0% success rate on the 5 major potions. This needs fixing- if we can't craft them, why are they listed?
AARGH on the crafting interface! I have 702 alchemy now, still have a 0% success rate on the powerful potions. Need a way to mass-craft, buy skill books, or otherwise increase your crafting at a greater rate. (You can get a few bumps from tactical battles, but not a lot.)
As it is, I'm clicking once on recipes, once on combine, once to get the results, once more to go back to the recipes screen, etc. Probably have to craft another 200 or so potions to get to 1000 alchemy, which means 800 more clicks PLUS then needing to sell off all those potions in the shop individually. Streamlining the interface would be huge.
Spoiler/warning: for the last archmage dungeon, make sure you have at least 7 sledgehammers on hand. There are 6 red chests that are blocked, and you also need to steal a snowman. I only brought in 6, which means I didn't get the snowman (d'oh), and now that I've completed it the dungeon is gone from the map. Hopefully the unfinished dungeon will have a snowman in it, or else I'll need to replay the entire game to get that one achievement.
A few areas need to be cleaned up- too much furniture/decoration makes chests and areas inaccessible. Old Dungeon II, for example, and I hit a few others. Otherwise much improved over chapter 2!
Some locations are intentionally blocked off, you might have better luck adventuring with a sledgehammer in your pack. ;)
