I enjoyed this game a lot, but I thought it was very short and way too easy. Make a longer sequel or a large level pack and I'll come back for more. Very cool concept.
@ Whistler, thanks for the response. I completed all of the champion ranked missions several weeks ago, and I was able to do so with relative ease. Now, I am unable to win anything beyond "The Road to Havenbrook", mission 3, on champion difficulty at all. I agree that a lack of new content is the real issue here, but at this rate players will just go play something else. Also, if you haven't completed the champion ranked missions, then I assume you are a newer player than I am here. I am entirely unable to win 3-4 consecutive duels in "wanted" after the last 2 patches, let alone complete a winning streak or rank in the top 25 for a chance at better heroes. I have been working the slow grind here for like...3 months, and suddenly my 2 epics and 1 mythical hero are completely useless. I might just be using the wrong items or something, but I can't look up the gear because there is no wiki for this game. What is your town level? Mine is 76, and the grind is ridiculous.
Before the past 2 patches I was regularly one of the top ranking players here. Since the recent changes I am basically unable to win anything, even champion rank missions. Is anyone else having this issue? It seems like you need a million revives and heals to go anywhere, and the grind to level up towns is horrible.
At higher village levels the grind to advance is discouraging. It takes several battles gain a single point of village experience, and it takes several levels to advance your buildings. This could mean weeks of monotonous grinding before advancement. I think each battle should give a minimum of 1% exp, and tougher battles should give up to 5% exp...maybe bosses or something as incentive to overcome optional baddies.
I've been playing this game for a while and I like it thus far, but I have one major issue. Every time I reset for soul gain I have to click the spawn, tick speed, and tier buttons MANY times to in order to fully upgrade. Would it be possible to create a hold function that would let the player simply depress and hold the left mouse button to perform upgrades in rapid succession? This would allow players to upgrade efficiently without the need for repetitive clicking. Overall, nice job.
I beat it with all stars and no walkthrough in about an hour. I liked the difficulty for a hard badge...it was hard, but not impossible. It just takes patience. Level 20 is a bit much, but overall it is a fun and challenging game. 4/5
i'm working on changing the basic staff, so you can right click on tickspeed/tier and it will buy all of them(if you can). like that? :)
