It's a nice start. But it's lacking excitement. The idea is great but pinball is supposed to be flashy, loud, adrenaline-pumping action. Where are the bumpers, the traps, the bonuses, the challenges? This is like someone made a pinball game without ever having played pinball. All of the upgrades are geared towards making points go up, not making the actual game more interesting by adding more mechanics or features. I played for a few minutes but see no reason to continue, to be honest. None of the upgrades promise to reward me for playing by making the game more fun.
Money income is unbalanced. Selling iron bars equals 50/8 = 6.25 money per bar. For steel it's 200/64 = 3.125 per bar. For copper the math gets more complicated because it costs steel to upgrade, not to upkeep. Nonetheless, the most bang-for-buck is iron.
If you turned this into a longer game, possibly with procedurally generated levels and more enemy variety, then this would be perfect. The mechanics are solid and the controls feel very responsive.
This game needs serious rebalancing. Not choosing waterboys makes it impossible to get proper food growth, but at the cost of making too little gold (especially after the update!)
The scaling on this is disastrous. A dyson ring produces 5k energy per second? I'm already producing 2.5k from nuclear and lava alone, what motivation could I possibly have to produce THAT many resources for such a small increase?
Getting more and more of the same type gets more and more expensive, until you really need the dyson ring. Additionally, the higher tiers of Dyson Buildings are better cost to energy value
This game is buggy as all heckums. Sometimes the board stops responding (I can still click the upgrades and such, just not place/move them), moving around stuff will lead to bizarre error messages (like "Needs Gold Cells" on a lab).
The first two levels made this game feel a bit unfinished, the mechanics were just "wrong" enough to feel like bad design rather than something new.
But then I kept playing and holy smokes this game is brilliant.
This is absolutely not a physics game. Horizontal momentum is killed the moment I attach a balloon, making it impossible to time any real jumps. Instead I have to wait and see if I get lucky and the cat-balloon does its weird wiggling often enough to get where I want it to.
It's ridiculous that I need to wait for everything to research again every time I level up. Not only is it an artificial time stretcher, it makes absolutely no sense at all.
Thanks for reporting this. I will look at this next week, sorry for the inconveniences.
