Well, after going from City 9 to having no game today... I can't keep playing a very slow game that can't save. Exporting every time I want to close the game is something I haven't had to do since SNES days (writing down codes), and I'm not going back to that.
I wish the game prioritized high income vs. high gear cost. Seeing high earners sitting idle while a quirk of gear earning made some low earner take priority.
something weird is happening. opening up the skill window causes the game to think I opened another window entirely. I can't select a chunk of the skills because the 'frozen in time' window takes precedence, despite being underneath.
Really, really grindy. level 3 has jumps impossible without at least the second height and the third speed upgrades. Between the low amount of money per run, the high price of upgrades (compared to money per run), and the repetitiveness of the levels I just can't be bothered to grind.
Bah. Stolen. Also, no matter what you can't win. As in, even if you have the whole planet under your thumb with no real opposition the game will end with a moral message. oooh, look. evil corporation. Can't have them win.
A little guy (with 2 attack) is supposed to be strong vs. the chick (with 2 attack). But when my punk guy and a hippy chick were attacking each other the guy lost *every time*.
The 'stay alive for x amount of time' levels are pretty off for time. Just timed 10 seconds in level 14 as taking 22 seconds. So, that 90 seconds just became about 3 minutes...
So, thanks to a random event, I now have 3 slimes in my hold that I can't even sell because this is a demo, and no recognizable way to purge cargo. On top of the really short looped music, the fact that it is a demo and not a full version (A free demo is different than a free game), and the text is quite small at standard size (really out of proportion to the buttons) I'll rate this low. From looking at the demo, it seems that there's only 3 planets and 3 cargo types in the full game. Why would this be a pay-for game?
Price of upgrades are not in line with benefit of upgrades vs. buying a new tower. Basic tower cost = 100 with 30 dps, upgrade costs 195 and increases the dps to 56.25, and the range increase definitely doesn't make up for the price difference.
Excellent first effort! Towards the end I had serious lag problems, causing towers to either not fire or fire late. In the case of the bomb towers the explosion was staying on the screen really long. Otherwise, the balance was good, the rate of income was good, and the enemies (while looking the same) were varied enough to necessitate varieties of towers.
At the moment, trophies give you a skill point in the game you are in, but do not give you starting skill points in future games. This makes the future games more difficult as you can't rely on the extra skill points gained from trophy collection.
