The game totally bugged out on me for some reason. I had quit to the main menu and then when I went back into the game, the screen was jumping all over the place is if it were trying to flash through every game's location at once, the skill and rune slots all became question marks, all of the HP/Energy/Exp bars were bugged, and I couldn't even leave to the menu because the menu commands wouldn't work. I'm not sure if it's because I walked away a fraction of a second before the game was completely saved or what, but it appears the only fix is to start a new game. Thankfully, I had only played long enough to beat the first boss before that happened. I guess I'll just start a new game and try to stand perfectly still while the game saves.
It's a good game, but seems like there should be some consideration in increasing the amount of points for another life to 1000 and reducing the rate that new balls come into play. Maybe I got really lucky, but at times I would try to lose and still make it to the next level. The mentality of "well, I can try for (insert score here) would prevail, but I would quickly get back 5 lives almost immediately into a level thanks to the quick cluster breaking. I finally got unlucky when several times in a row the ball immediately hit orbiting hexbricks upon entering play.
As someone with admittedly bad reflexes, me surviving for at least half an hour with minimal trouble until bad luck hits does point to a need to improve the difficulty or implement new difficulty settings.
To those who anyone claiming that the game is too hard and are having a hard time scoring, try to focus on only one ball at a time.
