It's a decent game, but there's barely any bullet patterns and most rooms can be solved by just circlestrafing and staying away from green blobs. Even the shotgun mushrooms can be circle strafed safely. Heck, you can just run through to the boss and ignore any enemies. You don't need to farm coins, you just need to get giantslayer potion unlocked and then you can just win the game from that massive DPS increase alone. There's a severe lack of content to use these upgrades for, all you really need is enough attack power to kill basic enemies without having to back off melee range or oneshot with the javelin. It was still pretty fun, but a bit basic. Needs more stages and enemies and maybe a difficulty setting instead/in addition to NG+.
It's nice that you tried, but montage parodies need actual execution. Make the game look like a parody, not like a buggy piece of shit. I'm talking about the sides of the screen here.

The sound is horrible, the spacebar control is unresponsive. Tetris was made in 1984 dude. How can you fuck it up 30 years of tech after is beyond my understanding.
I'm sorry, Martin, Kasper, Andreas and Mads but I'm afraid either you guys suck, or your game design class sucks. I mean I'd pass on the bad graphics if the actual design was good. But it's not.
All that pointless killing! Why can't I be rewarded for shooting the first guy's legs, making him miss all his shots, then refusing to finish him? No, instead I have to lie on the ground for all eternity, bleeding on the white floor. =(
Needs custom controls for the two-thrids of the world who isn't using a QWERTY keyboard.
Naaah, I can get along fine with Alt-Shift. However, gameplay is VERY LAGGY, even with a recent computer. 2/5.
Oh and, I totally got the "going left 10000 feet" achievement. It's actually one of the easiest, when you think about it. You just have to play normally, except when the magma gets to your feet, you hop on platfors, going the highest you can, and then start platform hopping to the left. With luck, you'll even reach the shop again. (even if it's submerged in lava!)
