For those with trouble with the "report a missing badge" form: As far as I know, the only way to get support in that case is to send an e-mail to support [at] kongregate [dot] com . I hope that this helps whoever needs it.
The controls are too inconsistent for a timing-based puzzle game. Even when reds aren't a concern, I don't know whether any given arrow tap will move me 1, 2, or 0.
Badge of the Day tip: Buy bombers & bouncers to full, then gunners and a point of miners, then miners to about 5 or 6. After that, save up your points until you have a lot (I forget the #, but like 5k), then buy all remaining points in one go.
This is to help you control leveling and refueling: Too many seekers while you're airborne, or too many miners, and you won't land, so you'll run out of fuel, dying before leveling. You do need lots of stuff, though, to get big (& high) combos, but seekers are problematic, since they shoot upward.
And like the guy said: If you're high on fuel, keep the combo going as long as you can, to max the XP contribution to your NEXT level; only refuel (land) when necessary, if you can help it.
Gah! I got the Jackal Badge, but it didn't give BotD. I did the next mission, figuring that it would reg when I died, but no go. So, I refreshed (normal for missing badge), & now, after dying in Sword Beach again, all evidence that I had Jackal (and Miser achieve, FWIW) is gone!
The physics engine is pretty awful. The connectors can't decide whether they're free or fixed, and sometimes the craft turns inside-out for no reason.
Also, there's no easy way to remove a part from the build area. The closest that I could find was to select it, then select the engine.
I just found a glitch on level 8. The Golgi Body ceases to take build orders, so I can't increase Defensin or make Toxins.
...and just now, it started working again. That was weird.
The game itself seems fun, but it's terribly unresponsive. Especially if it's going to have a timer, it needs to only take 1 button push per move, instead of 2-6.
Re: 39: You have to bank the first fireball into the side hole, and get it to light the bottom torch (it has to bounce off a bottom thing instead of falling thru). If it doesn't, then suicide and restart. Use the second fireball to light the top torch, which is easy.
