I tried "Altitude," and it´s game play is too unrealistic.. You forget they are planes after a while since gravity makes very little effect... and their weapons are too sci-fy. I like it that you could easily Stall in this game.. I´d hope that in the next versions you would increase the ceiling height at least 3x, and reduce the turn rates, and increase gravity a little bit. As is, climbing advantage doesn´t really mean that much vs. speed.
I really hope this game goes Multiplayer some day... it has great potential.
Altitude is not about simulation it is pure simplified model that everybody can play and has fun of it. If I do your recomendations in the game sequel I definitely bury the player audience spread since many casual players will be unable to play. However I can make 2 modes - 1 easy for casual players and 1 hard with all the physics for pro players :) I hope someday I create multiplayer version, but it is too time consuming.
Would adding a game mode to make this game like "Epic War" style be a good idea? If you could control one plane, but release a bunch minions every so many seconds in a battle of east vs. west... that´d be really cool.
Hi, that was my former intention, to make a multiplayer airplane game. However I implemented the game in actionscript2 and old flash technology and it does not allowed me to make such mutiplayer games without struggling with network lags. So only hotseat multiplayer has left. You can play the game with your friends on one computer, just hit Play->Multiplayer. Maybe the sequel of the game will be pure online multiplayer ;) Or download concurent product. I personally love "www.altitudegame.com"

He could have made this same game be FFA with respawning if it were about the arcady playability.
UNSK real-time is going to be a big failure just like UNSK was unfortunately. Playing with 2D planes in real time will not be better than those games with UNITY that look super cool.
OMG... I´m going to buy this game from Nia if he doesn´t care about it.... I´ll make it look real good, have over 1000 players at all times at least.... New maps, new game modes, Total War Campain.... New planes... Sea units, AA, Tanks, Space units... spectator mode, Money prizes.. This game has so much potential.
@qazz, I feel like it would make more sense to invest and improve FOD rather than continuing in this game.... Let´s go back to playing like we used to!!!
@chessking, Yes... we´ve been waiting for a sequel to FOD for so long, and it ain´t what it was suposed to be.. I´m at FOD every weekend again... it´s fun, lot´s of people again.
