Hey guys, here's a tip--At the far right of the arena, there is a pile of rocks that is breakable. Use your charge attack at FULL to destroy the wall, inside is a lot of health. This is useful for the bossfight/healing up when you're low.
This game is a lot of fun, but the pickups are an issue. After a certain point, the starting weapon (katana) just isn't adequate for being something like, say, wave 6. It is almost impossible at wave 10. Also, I thought there were only two enemies until level 8--most people would have given up on the game by this point, thinking that there are only two enemies to fight. That is an issue. It would be great if beating/starting certain levels made you start with certain swords. Would make the game much more manageable.
It gets repetitive quite quickly--it'd be good if you had wave checkpoints or abilities that are permanent. I get that this is a demo but it's too stingy with what it offers--doesn't make me want to buy the steam game.
The timer does not work. I've lost many matches because my enemy timer hits 0 for more than 5 seconds, but they do not lose. Makes no sense at all, please fix it.
This game in a nutshell: click buttons for 2 min, try to desperately distract yourself until your bars refill and read the fantastic descriptions of items. Rinse and repeat.
Pistols desperately need a buff. All machineguns outdo them in every single way. Pistols should have a huge speed buff, along with a chance to wound (as in, slowly sap away health from the opponent). That might even things out.
Thanks for the feedback. I really want to some changes this weekend. There is in fact wave checkpoint - but you must reach wave 3 before it unlocks.
