The upgrade-side of the game is underdeveloped. Penultimate Coolant gets you barely to Wolfram level while Ultimate Coolant opens up 3 more resources plus the endgame. The quests are a nice touch but as they depend on the upgrade tree to be interesting, you need to make the upgrade-side of things more than "race to Ultimate Coolant then win"
To win: (1) Get Engineering, then upgrade to Rocket Launcher ASAP (Devs -- increase reload time on Rocket Launcher to make other guns worthwhile); (2) Expand to other territories and construct Factories whenever possible; (3) Self Defense I will improve your survivability a lot -- get it next, then focus on Engineering; (4) When you get Engineering III, construct LV 3 Towers & Factories in a single territory. When you get max buildings and 0% Threat, the zone stops spawning zombies. Rinse and repeat; (4) Once you max Rocket Launcher, you've won the game. If this is helpful, please +
A fine concept, but a mini-map and a "mass drop" option for souls would be helpful. When you have several hundred souls available it gets tedious to drop them one at a time.
Keep it up!
Fun, but Tanks make the game too swingy. Lose a tank on the last level and you've likely lost the game - yet sending squads of Assaults can kill your Morale just as fast. Worse, your chance of losing a Tank is entirely luck-based: if the AT Rounds hit, you're done. Otherwise, you're probably OK for awhile. Your best strategy is to buy the cheap Troop benefits (faster respawn, +damage, +defense, +morale) and then focusing on increasing the reload rate of your AT rounds.
Also: the bonus XP system is weird. The optimal way to increase your bonus XP is to sit and murder as many enemies as possible, rather than quickly winning the level with minimal losses.
A fine game, but like others of the genre auto-fire is overpowered and the final gun is a trap. If only there were some way to fix these persistent problems...
OK, tower-defense wise, it is kind of easy; there is one optimal strategy, making most of the other fun items less than useful. However, the song alone makes this worth 5 stars
Still a fun game, but the Machine Guns are just way too good. Additionally (now having played the "rough draft version") Recycling Centers make the game too easy - they basically give you infinite resources.
