I frequently encounter a glitch wherein whenever my first character scores a one hit kill, the other characters do not get their turn. Other than that it looks good so far.
A few notes - It is quite frustrating that spells cannot kill enemies. A group feature or better instancing may be helpful to stop leeching in some of the more overpopulated areas. There are several large gaps in weapons, such as caster weapons between levels 8 and 20; more is better. Other than that it looks interesting so far.
Interesting concept, nice graphics, and fitting music. If only the game play were up to par this might be a classic. Difficulty with combination attacks unfortunately drag this game down a few notches. As it stands 3/5.
Wonderful game. I loved the atmosphere, and the basic premise is solid as well. I believe the voice acting could use a bit of work, particularly the voice of Anabel. It isn't so much a poor portrayal, but it comes off as somewhat annoying. I have also had occasional lag issues even with storage set to unlimited. Other than that I don't have any complaints.
Runs very smoothly, seems quite balanced as far as levels go, and no major bugs I have come across yet. My only major complaint is there doesn't seem to be a warning when tubes break, perhaps a pop-up of some sort would help there. Other than that this is a fantastic start.
A few more ideas - a test match to start would be wonderful, to get the hang of things before you start (avoiding unnecessary losses on your record). Also a list of how many people are online in which arguments would be nice for the less populated hours. Actually a simple ‘jump into the first available argument’ option would be nice as well.
Controls are a bit difficult to start with. Sorting took me a few minutes to figure out (could select with mouse, but had to use keyboard to actually choose an option). Also a bit more documentation of everything on the screen would help; perhaps a mouse-over or beginning/test screen. I know the authors comment on the alpha alludes to this and makes me think it is being worked on, but there it is. I would also echo Federalists statement about a chat filter being a necessity. While I have been lucky enough not to run into anyone too immature thus far, I can see where the problems would pop up. Other than that I like the idea so far, it is fairly easy to get into and quite entertaining.
Some nice additions would be 'buy all' for ingredients, better descriptions of what each employee type does, what the status effects actually do, and perhaps some carry over or explanation as to why customers tastes change so wildly after time. It was very annoying to have a cook gain several levels selling one type of cookie, then suddenly no one eats it for several days in a row. Unless this is explained the game is more luck based.
I agree with paco on several points, especially regarding the text box. It would be nicer to simply enter in the problem rather than clicking around and looking everywhere all the time. Also a bit more information on what spells to use when would help, perhaps a visual representation of what spells the enemy is weak to on the side would be nice.
