So many times, an arrow key that was working fine would suddenly send my careening back in the opposite direction, causing me to fail a level. It would be all too kind to call the wall jumping mechanics "flimsy", as stated in a previous comment.
I'd like to think that the game would play better if literally half of Kongregate wasn't playing it. But as it is, it's virtually unplayable. Thanks, guys, for this great choice for BotD. Totally didn't get paid to make this game even get badges.
Can I ask how this game got badges, when, after 6 days, it has a 3.61 rating? Clearly, the usual badge-giving standards weren't applied, or were applied after about 2 days, which is a little quick.
@Paniger: Make sure you didn't miss any choices by clicking too fast. You can do it easily by zooming out and looking for any places where only a single block stick out at an intersection.
I kind of wish there was a way to zoom out, and see the whole map at once. I tend to play close to the "goal", which means I miss crucial moments of control when giants, treants, etc. spawn. The game is really tough after a while, but I like it enough to stick with it.
There's no consistency in what hits cause damage to us and what hits cause damage to enemies, and there's no pattern to follow in the second stage of the boss fight. The game is, otherwise, simple and really monotonous.
@SoulCross19: Chrome has had lagging problems in several games I've played recently. I'm not sure why that is. However, I've been using Opera, and it has worked flawlessly, so maybe you should consider a switch, if only for Kongregate.
