To further expand upon the trick that Klaus17 found: Refresh the page and load your game, to find a bottom line market. Then, purchase a trade route on the star map(all have worked for me so far). This will cause the price of all resources to drop to 0. Buy as much Xylonium/Gems/Gold as you can carry(and be sure to upgrade your cargo hold), save, refresh, go on a run or two so that the market works, and sell your free stuff at at a ridiculous profit.
This is the first game that has hit me with the emotional consequences of my actions so effectively. I worked dutifully, trying to find a cure for the disease I inadvertently created. When I found my wife in the bathtub, I started forming tears of regret, but I soldiered on. When the caption at the start of the day read "You had one chance.", they came like a flood. It was all for nothing. I killed the entire world.
Excellent game. Very immersive, and worth trying a few times to improve your score/rank. On the downside, playing three games straight gave me mild motion sickness. Still totally worth it. 5/5
grondpony, I tried loading it using Internet Explorer, and made no progress at all. Then I tried loading it using Google Chrome, and it loaded very quickly. What browser are you using?
Quite possibly my favorite flash game. Fast-paced, chaotic, and fun. It always amazes me how much time I can spend playing match after match against the AI.
@ mag109: It's easy to take the gunship(and all the ground/sea based targets in that mission) out if you fly very close to the surface(the meter should read 20 or less) and level off with light taps so that you're not gaining or losing altitude, and then hold the fire button but not the throttle one. If that doesn't finish it, turn around and do it again.
Not a bad game, but not very original or innovative at all. It's like you took a generic tower defense game template and plastered on the Madness name and image as an afterthought. I was hoping for more. 3/5
Post your favorite setups!
Mine so far is Front Cannon: Rocket Launcher, Shoulder Weapons: Homing Missile or Homing Cluster, Cockpit: Heavy White, Special Component: Gravity Engine, and Legs: Spider White. I call it the Missile Strider!
You can get the magnum, but it requires the second Agility upgrade. Get it by playing Home Sweet Home Revisited, from the spot where you fought the guy with white hair.
