Adventure mode seems interesting, but is highly limited by the fact is seems to contribute nothing to the rest of the game. All the other game features (excluding the AFK games) contributes something to the game. The Adventure Mode just feels so disconnected.
Is there a reason why I only ever get one character's hero shards from the arena? It's bad enough when you don't get shards for the hero you use, it's worse when you only ever get one hero you don't use.
The overhaul of stealth has really ham stringed the rogue class. With critical damage being fairly weak, and the abilty to improve it being a duelist skill, it's really hard to get any real damage in. And I can't tell where enemies can detect me unlike previous games so stealth is much less useful.
The duelist step back skill is useful for strafing. You get a free attack in for one movement point. At higher levels with lunge you can chain together attacks while maintaining mobility.
If an enemy is going to be killed by an attack a red x will appear to the left of their health bar. This helps you avoid thinking you'll kill when you don't.
One of my biggest problems with the games is the lack of effort into the graphics. All mechs of the same type look the same, just with another paint job. There's no customization for each characters specialty. Even the cinematic attacks are the same, a single target strike has the same animation as a cleave attack. The lack of effort put into the graphics is really sad. A bit more effort was put into the character art, but even then so much effort was put into looking sexy that it fails. A more conservative effort for most of the characters would make them look more more attractive.
Hi ZanderShadowbane,
You are right, we still have a lot of work to do on the 3D part. We are currently working on a new attacking Mech model and we will be adding new animations, variations between Mechs of different classes and cinematics.
About the design of the girls, there we have put more effort and we have tried to have a lot of variety between them. We will release new characters soon.
Thank you very much for playing
Most games major cinematic attacks are for really special ultimate skills. Having them play on all but your normal attack makes them boring, and time consuming.
I worry about the economy. Considering the amount of people throwing out ludicrous amounts of money the place must be going through some very bad hyperinflation.
@LavrDracko You can Bull Rush monsters with more than 1HP with a feat bonus. Either get a max attack role, or do a very high attack role against a monster. This makes getting the achievement harder as you need RNG to even be able to set up the attack then have to hope the other two attacks work while in highly specific situations. It's not impossible though, I did manage to achieve it.
There seems to be three types of advantage in this game, offensive Unit advantage (amount and power of units in play) Sustaining Resource advantage (Money and income), and defensive Tactical Advantage (ability to prevent enemies from attacking. If a side has unit advantage, then it's best to go after their resources, tactical advantage prevents this, and unit advantage is needed to get past tactical advantage.
An anoying thing is that the jellyfish will duplicate even when off screen, you can tell by watching the target count jump even when there aren't any on screen. This is a problem because it artificially makes the later sections more dense and thus harder without any counter play. They really should only duplicate while on screen.
So for whatever reason the game decided to work for me, so I got the badges while it still worked. It seems that the badges that say they require "Going Out" actually only only require you to complete Contracts. I'm not complaining, it makes this easier.
It would be nice if performance mode had a way of telling you the percentage of the cube is full. I have no idea how close I am to it being full while in performance mode level 2.
My biggest complaint about the game is there is no real reason to care about actual in game progress other than unlocking new champions. I'm more invested in progress in war machine campaign because there's an actual goal there, something to work towards. The main game is just endless battling with numbers going up, which is kind of boring. Adding something which gives the main game purpose would be nice.
As someone who got the impossible badge to Hippolyta, this has none of the challenge, and is incredibly slow paced. Most games of this type have power-ups you can pick up, but this one tries to sell them to you, undermining a lot of the enjoyment in the pursuit of money.
