Man, I love it when we get games like this =] A few quality of life suggestions: an auto-fight button. I know I'll eventually beat that boss, but clicking fight every time gets old :P I'd also like the ability to scroll the map, and having some indication of how much life the enemies have would be really useful, even if it's simply a bar below their image. Thanks for the great work!
I love these games, but the utter lack of any sort of directed loot is really hurting them. Making it to the 15th floor and realizing that you simply can't win because you never managed to get a weapon other than a +1 version of your starting weapon, along with no other usable gear, is unbearably frustrating. It wouldn't be such an issue if it happened only occasionally, but 5 attempts with the ranger while only finding staves and polearms, then switching to a necro and immediately getting a longbow is a bit much :P
At this point, I feel that the best thing for this game would be to commence open beta. Larger playerbase, better matchmaking. Too many of us are stuck, making no progress at all, and beginning to get too frustrated to continue playing. The game shows outstanding potential, but it's really beginning to stagnate due to the lack of players.
Ah, so the cooldown timer doesn't appear until we're already having a pretty decent time playing. Good bait. But an energy system is an energy system: "pay to keep playing."
Hold on, there. Elf and dwarf are unlocked after my first playthrough... but only if I pay for them? I think not, mate. Try offering that information up front.
Absolutely outstanding game. Anyone who doesn't play it based on the horse thing is an idiot. If I could give you more than 5 stars, I certainly would. Bravo.
Alright, so my review: The concept is a fun one, if a little bland. Simple, entertaining, easy to get the hang of. I especially like the little blurbs about the lives of the people you're judging. Unfortunately, the lag/catch-up thing a number of us are experiencing essentially makes the game unplayable. It will go at a reasonable speed for a decent amount of time, and then immediately accelerate extremely fast, and then decelerate to the normal speed. Fixing this will go a long way toward making this game a lot better. Some of the data is too far from the action. The combo level and how many lives you have left should be moved closer to the focus of the game. Upgrade progression seems to be a touch on the slow side, which always makes cynical Cal a bit suspicious, seeing as you have a fully functional shop in place already. Finally, the in-game music doesn't loop, but that's just a tiny minor thing. Oh, as a bonus for reading until the end, I really like the Dies Irae chiptune!
Yet another promising game that wants me to pay in order to play for as long as I'd like. If I want to pay to simply play a game, I'll go to steam. I'd like to think that this business model isn't working, but clearly it must be, because it keeps sticking around.
Absolutely adored your last game. I would suggest that you change the text preceding the video ad to make it very clear that the player is about to open an ad. Right now it feels a bit sneaky.
your suggestion are good thx for letting me know
