Suffers from one of the great problems that things that should be in the game are instead located in Google Sheets made by players (such as loot tables) meaning you're usually playing this with a Google Sheet open.
Hey there!
One of the aspects of an earlier game that this was largely modeled upon was that it was up to the community to discover the 'inner workings' of the game. Sometimes this was exciting, and sometimes this was needlessly tedious.
The DotV Dev team is comprised of both Dev's and Players from that game, including those that performed such data compilation. We recognized that some things were unnecessarily painful to have to 'uncover', and we took steps to ensure that data is readily available. However, some of the joy of the game comes from the community aspect, so we ultimately decided to leave some of the finer details for Players to work out. That being said, we provided ample means for Players to identify changes and accelerate these discoveries in most instances.
Get rid of the timer - there's no point since clicking the restart or quit button brings up a dialog box that freezes the timer. Yes the box might block the map, but at some point someone is going to have a site showing each and every level.
I enjoy how the game will confusingly warn you that your merge is suboptimal but will not put in any confirmation or delay feature to stop you from accidentally doing it but it will stop you from closing an offer screen by delaying the X button appearance. Really shows you were this developer's priorities lie.
Sigh. This should never have been badged - obviously a watered down NSFW anime game that makes you repeat the same opening again and again and again like Groundhog Day. Kongregate badging policy... CRUSHED
It's a really nice UI and well designed game initially and good to see no microtransactions. Unfortunately, the game is really a good 5 minute game which has been copied and pasted 10 times with exponentially increasing time and resource costs for everything: crafting, forging, upgrading, battling, gathering.
This is interactive fiction so take it or leave it. With the death of Flash, I guess we're going to have to get used to these "games" being badge of the day.
