@Jupiter1986 keep progressing and you will find out how to upgrade them. Here is a hint: it is in the last species, and it has to do with different dimensions.
It seems easy to exploit the upgrade system by running around the outside of the arena and shooting behind you. Most enemies hoot where you were, so you block their bullets without being at much risk. Of course, this really stops working once you get the enemies that shoot in all directions, but before that, you can level up really quickly.

@tigertiger your production increases by 162%, but you already have a large production multiplier from the followers you already have, so it would be like 10000% + 162%
Oops, I see the bug there, putting out a hotfix for that when it compiles (it was saving the progress, but wasn't properly saving which skill you were training) (Edit: Hotfix published)
That's fixed in the 0.3.0 build, but the 0.3.0 build won't be released until it's ready (which actually should be today...power outages have put me a bit behind schedule)
I had fun playing this game, even if it is a little easy, but it put a loading screen after round 4 that would not go above 16%. I could not play any of the later rounds.
This game is amazing! I like it a lot more than reactor idle because there are lots of different resources to keep track off instead of just money, heat, and energy.
