Why do the "God of a Job badge does not work" comments get downvoted? It doesn't work for me either: The additional 100% are not displayed at the end, and XP and gold are not awarded. It also doesn't work for the "Job" category, I checked on Scuba Diver. Instead of downvoting, maybe someone could explain why and how it works for him/her?
The redistribution if there's no valid move is a bit annoying; it would be nice to allow only boards where a solution without redistribution is possible.
Pay close attention to the flight path help text (explains amount of certificates needed) before you buy your first new flight path. Without certificates, basically all you can make is a closed loop. I had to start over once because of that.
I still get "Context 3D error: Error #1063". If this is related to missing hardware rendering, Flash on Linux is missing this, even though the OS makes it available. Episode 2 works fine for me.
Adobe has dropped support for Flash on Linux, so on Linux, the game will report software rendering even if the hardware is capable of doing accelerated rendering. Just FYI. Works fine so far on my system even with software rendering.
Glad to hear it's running well enough in software mode, I spent a good deal of time on performance. I can't circumvent Adobe when requesting hardware rendering which is disappointing when they blanket drop support for Linux and the hardware could probably run the game.
I got it to work on Linux in Firefox using Pipelight (plugin that calls a patched version of Wine to execute the windows unity plugin).
I followed these installation instructions: http://fds-team.de/cms/pipelight-installation.html
There are still gotchas (dialog after scenario doesn't have visible content, audio is awful), but I hope I can get the badge this way.
That's when Stage3D loads which uses your GPU for hardware acceleration. There may be a compatibility problem since you're on Linux or your drivers may be out of date. See if this page shows what kind of Stage3D profile you can support. http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/stage3d-unsupported-chipsets-drivers-flash.html I also put up a new build today that will try to fall back to a simpler graphics profile if the default one doesn't work, maybe that will fix your problem.
Also ran into the problem with Flashplayer 11.4 not available on Linux (yes, I read your answers to the other comments). Just writing this comment to make the amount of people using Linux more visible to you. (Maybe the Starling developers can be talked into supporting 11.2?)
Cheers, I do appreciate the response. I really would love Adobe to start focusing on Linux again. Starling used to have a software rendering fallback for 11.2 and earlier, but they canned it. No love for linux. :C
Maybe make the locking manual, instead of automatic. With automatic locking it's too easy to cheat. Or add an option for manual/automatic/no locking, with influence on the score.
