I have played 16 lvl ~20 times, it is very hard to get 3 stars (at another levels got 3 stars at 1-5 attempts). Are you sure you set right time limits on this level?
hmm... these are standard Flixel 2.55 controls. Apparently Flixel has some issues with non-english keyboards/os languages, so that might be the problem. Also, try changing controls in the options menu, and see if that fixes it.
