Beat the dragon, used a potion. Bought armor right after. Fought and beat the wolf without a scratch, and I ran as fast as I could...
To lose the last of my lifespan as the soulstore appears on screen...
It is a fantastic day. The day the sequel to the game that brought Roguelike to Idle, somehow making a wonderful masterpiece, something so simple, and so enjoyable.
But really, I'm glad this exists. This mix of Roguelike, and Progression isn't something that's commonly seen, and the flash community is blessed to have this gem. Needs a hardmode though. Difficulty ramp would be much appreciated.
Each strike took place moments before the last. I strike down each opponent, evading the next one to lunge at me, hoping to strike after I've missed my lunge. Eventually they came so quickly, I couldn't strike, and not be within striking distance of another. I take a lethal blow... quickly counting, taking down 161 of them...
I fought valiantly... may this Dojo lie in peace. Later! (Still fun though, 4.5/5)
Oh, and I love the fact that if you get caught before you kill the king once, there's already a skeleton in there. Nice to see little details like that.
. . .And then BAM. You hit the iron door, to the holding place of your wallet with a sweet impact!...
Only to slide down the whole length of it, as the door is strong enough to withstand even a direct sweet impact.
"It is a shame to say, but the murderer is NOT a gifted musician."
"How did you figure that out?"
"The murderer somehow played on the wrong side of the piano."
I have to say, the weaving of the fiction, and the reality is a refreshing thing. Having to look up a lot of various things was a nice touch. Excited to see what new puzzles will be in the next episode.
One 'healing' skill you can't use out of Combat, is the MP transferring skill from the guardian's skill tree. Sure, there's always the 60 potions I've stolen from enemies, but it is a skill some people would like to use out of combat.
Haven't completed it the game so far, but I am on chapter 4, so I can already say that it's a fantastic game, 5/5. Wasn't happy when my DPS was taken though. A few charge attack crits solved the problem until I got her back though.
The soundtrack is great, the combat has the shortcuts to make the battles go smoother, the game itself knows it's silly (and makes good use of that fact) and it hits all the traits it has to. The upgrading system is nice, and the class system works well. It has all the great things that makes an exploitable RPG fun.
Just got the secret ending. Led by my imagination. I don't know what I was expecting. Definately has the feel of Cave Story's secret ending though (Which I had to watch on Youtube). "Oh yay, hell." *gets achievement* Called it.
Definately 5/5. Great game, even if I missed the alternate ending. SHIFT's made me paranoid of easy stairs. Fantastic Concept, fantastic execution. Would love to see a level editor, perhaps.
I really enjoyed this. It's quite simple, and quite exploitable. I only tried Chronomancy, but after figuring a few things out I ended up having a decent strategy, at least it usually worked on Medium. I believe that the Priestess of Memories is bugged, from the description, but I can't say for sure. Regardless this is a very fun game, and I love how there are so many near-game breaking strategies, that none of them are.
This is plain embarrassing on my part. I took an entire class, that dealt with this and I get stuck on the first argument past the tutorial. I am ashamed.
Although, I kinda disliked anything that covered opposing dieties.
As of right now, 4/5. With anything runs slower, the attacks not colliding is still a major issue. There were too many times for me personally, where an arrow missed two enemies, and hit a third. Also, for charging, I'd get hit, die. And then the enemy would die. It's probably a simple thing, like a misordering in the coding, but it is certainly annoying for those with slower computers.
Yeah! We got grammar!
In all honesty, the grammar needs a bit of work, and perhaps a bit of variety in the lines. Player AP Turn Left is a bit unnecessary, and long. For example, in the help menu, the job class page says, "You can unlock new jobclass, to be able doing it, see all requirement you should accomplish." Now, I know how this works already, and it's not confusing at all, but the grammar really needs work. And Google doesn't count. Reminds me of "Volcano Bakemeat", really.
Not bad. But I did find that the final ship part costing 215K is a bit much, when I had finished all of the dungeons, replayed the last one, built the 14th ship piece and found...
That I still had that 215K for that final piece. Either add more dungeons to get a bunch of money for, or something, because the final ship part will have you completing the same second-last dungeon about 10 times, before you will be able to go to the final level. Unless you skipped leveling your party completely.
Perhaps some sort of dungeon, or monster that you had an endurance thing against, with your health depleting at an increasing rate, may be an improvement. I can't bring myself to replay the second-last dungeon to complete the ship/game though.
