One of the achievements is "take a peek at the instruction page". Since I was looking for this page even before I knew about the achievement, and still haven't managed to find it, maybe it would be good to make it a little easier to find? I've checked the settings menu, the home page, and all of the sub-menus... I even clicked on the walkthrough link. (BTW, not everyone has Facebook. Having your walkthrough on a page you must be logged in to Facebook to view is... possibly not the best choice.)
I really appreciate that if you serve them the right cupcakes, but on the wrong sides, they're still happy. More than once I've clicked on the frosting for the right one first, which puts it on the left one.
Possible bug? I just reset my progress, and now it thinks I have the same board availability as before I reset. I have 0 gardening boards left, 19 lawn-mowing ones, and buying a new lawn-mowing board would cost 1,536,000.
One of the things I love about upgrades games is that while I know skilled players can accomplish the goal faster, I also know that I'll eventually be able to get there if I just keep grinding and upgrading. On this game the upgrades top out well before that point, making it impossible for a player like me to finish. (I'm stuck at the giant turtle boss). It's a shame, because up until that point I was really enjoying it.
For anyone who'd got the sound muted... when the screen turns black at the end and just stays black with nothing happening, wait a bit (and maybe keep clicking in random places? That's what I did...). Eventually it'll show the graveyard and credits and you'll get the badge.
I played this through once and gave it 5 stars for being so simple and enjoyable. Then I played it through again (for the good ending) and wished I could give it an even higher rating!
Great game, but the fact that it's an *undeclared* demo is very annoying. If it was labelled a demo, or if it just didn't show all the stuff you can never get to, I'd give it as high a rating as I'd give the full version. But just dumping you back to the menu screen with no explanation after you finish the last level is just lame.
I found the magnifying glass more of a hindrance than a help. I ended up visually locating the stars, then manhandling the magnifying glass over them and waiting for it to stabilize on the right spot so I could click.
I thought at first that this game was made by someone who liked Smurfs, and wanted to do a quick nostalgia game. I see now that it was made by someone who hated smurfs, and wanted to spread the hate by making an impossible game.
Having gotten it down to a single layer of tiles I can confirm that there are odd numbers of the following:
- Mushroom houses (3 of them) - #1 builder - #1 sleepy - #3 poet - full-body smurfette - papa smurf head.
The papa smurf head and the full-body smurfette do match with each other. No clue on the others.
I love this genre, and was eager to play this when I saw it. However, without a way to mark impossible squares, only one color, and more than one valid solution per puzzle, I have to say that this particular game is the worst example of the genre I've ever seen. :(
It's a good concept, and fun graphics. However, the music gets old very quickly, and I think I spent as much time trying to hit the conveyor belt as all the rest put together. It would be much better if you just had to click anywhere on the conveyor machine to deliver the box. An auto-pause during shopping would also be nice.
