I tried to play this like 2 times and always had a bad experience, i can get an ok ship but then i still have to fear the elite players that raid your faction, so the first time i just run out of premium currency to repair my ship and going an grind things on starter one would be a joke. (or wait&fear all your movements 16hrs a day) The second time was better but the complete hostility of players killed it for me, yes i know you want that same quest and that nobody by yourself can take that space monster but when they see that you are the first to strike so you keep the loot and the players of your same faction start to shoot not the monster but you to dissuade you from getting a reward from this monster and even outright killing you even if you flee'd, i just said i am done with this because is not worth to play in fear of elite of other players and of your faction that just back stab you.
I am not sure if i check this one in a par of years, yes it got better but still suck.
SyntaxError: too many local variables
Welp can't play this, will see if it works on other browsers, that's a shame all other unity games play fine, maybe it's webgl but its supported.
Guys if you are on Firefox and have a white screen check if you enabled unity, the message from developer from his other unity game reads as "Firefox 47 seems to disable the unity webplayer by default. To enable it, press to the shield left to the url input field, then the arrow, the more information at the bottom, then go to the third tab and allow Unity Player."
Sometimes i don't get the comments here, i played this before and wanted to replay it but lost my save, the end result is that i managed the hardcore run in the lost guns starting with 0 rp, surely the game lags at the end but this time it feels i got the better end of the deal that before ( and i didn't get the achievement :( ), if i lost control i found that it's locked until i shoot-ed at least once, all the horde of zombies near the end gets destroyed by 1-2 shots in the head by the mounted machine gun.
@mikimm5 it actually gives you boost for that so you catch up... the only real solution for this, for now i guess, is just put this tab in new browser window and don't minimize it and just use your previous window, the game should play at normal speed at background then.
@desolve http://www.kongregate.com/forums/16310-idle-car-manager/topics/573613-bugs?page=2 dev quote "I just noticed that the driver cost is calculated for the expenses but you never pay it"
@y2k95 this is actually graceful because some Real Life banks could even fine you more. basically you pay 5% as i can say a minor interest, because the bank actually gets less money because you payed back it quickly that it would otherwise.
@snirpnaj The max sell price is calculated from base value of the car and not the production costs, you can see base value when you hover over Selltime
I am enjoying very much the progression and the research but i have a feeling that resetting still would give more souls that continuing forward, if you can't win a league and can't get to 2,3 place, then is not worth to try again for 2-4+ years i.e. better just lose for purpose to go 1 league back, until you break the tech barrier. And i am not sure if the future car soul rewards is going to be greater, i am tempted to just reset, win the first 2 leagues in one go, get ~15 achievements and start doing that again (and accelerating/assuring any future long lived sessions). Basically i am torn, because in 14 years i gained only 50 souls (this is with achievements) that i can gain in ~5 years doing resets.
For me I think the main goal in this game is to create better cars every year and not to gain car souls. You don't need them and resetting and starting in 1890 is always slower than just playing. You might have more car souls, but you need longer to reach the point you were before it. But yes everyone can play how he likes.
I can't play this game with message "unity not supported" unless i spoof my user agent as Firefox, i am using a Firefox fork and i agree that even the official unity site can't detect unity right if i don't spoof it, but thats really a dated practice used to cater to a specific browser and i am very disappointed, other unity games have loaded fine without relying to this. And i am sure that is a part of why people can't play this game. Also the connection error(1006) is related to the fact that the plugin container is making the connection first and then only the browser do all the work so i had to add an extra exception for this...
Tested the beginning of the game in other saveslot, I say is much easier to get production going and capturing the systems, got 3 systems 2-5 minutes each, comparing to idling for 1-3 hours. if anything i say that is probably fine for a start of the game but i would have preferred if that was slowed down by 2x, also getting the first system at least occupied that you can manage to do in 2-4 buildings gives a very significant boost in income comparing to the crawl before.
I don't know about you guys but even with my footprint 7x land now, i actually progressed much far with just 1 day i wasn't in and this update... currently waiting for observation because all new systems got their exponential stats divided by 10 and when i discover them they are included automatically because hight culture. I don't think you can get footprint smaller that land with all the prerequisites the buildings have.
I found this quite nice but, move building under paywall guh... Really thats the only important feature to prevent screw-ups. i am fine with not getting all the shiny and extra stuff but this is just irritates me in all construct you base games, especially because you preferably do need to save space. Don't take that too hard. Also i really think that the general response is negative at first because of oversaturation of games that happens to be "similar"
Thank you for your comment. Yes, there are simillar games, thougth we tried to make Infinitum different. We did the global map fights, added features you cannot find in any other game out there as far as we know.
Engineer is a paid guy, true. You get him for free for a week at start in order to not let you get stuck. We have plans for allowing hiring advisors for free for a limited time. It's hard to balance what is free and what is not.
Our rule of the thumb is that it should save your time. And that we don't want more and more, like many other "casino" like games do. With us you spend what you're comfortable with. We do have players in top100 that never paid a dyme. But those guys play hard ;)
also the money/honey counter in achievement screen gets bugged by the ridiculous amount of honey/money generated and because its only 32 bit so it pass to being negative then positive then negative, etc. because of the 32 bit (int) storing limit.
I love this idle, definitely need more features, i found that prestiging is too easy after you do the first prestige seems they get open just as i hit ~20 fully upgraded layers (and those you can hit in about 3 harvesting cycles in later levels), i also found performance issue, in what the game and mostly the upgrade menu slow to a crawl in about 3-4 prestiges with 20 fully upgraded layers each. restarting the game recovered the speed back to normal. also i found sharp decrease of speed after buying about 3-4 upgraded layers after the game restart with the result of game slowing from a sprint to a run (no mayor or minor delays but noticeable)
Thank you for this.
