That's locked down until you've collected 5 brains on your first play through as we were finding many players were not interacting with the upgrades and research tab in their game. It's a quick fix that will be streamlined for sure.

We released an update late last week to address some large issues alongside a few minor tweaks. Currently, we're working on the next update to address more issues across the board as well as some balance tweaks and save issues. We'll be looking to add new content in the near future once we get the high priority balance, bugs and save issues out of the way. To Answer your question, most upgrades max out at their third tier purchase, however a few deviate from that slightly and the "capacity" upgrades are currently infinite so long as you can afford them.

Why don't I throw more knives,zap more people or have a bigger beam by becoming more powerful with leveling up. Instead what I am holding in my hands and wearing decides my skill. That really sucks. Like the game other than that feature.
