for the sun temple zone, a nice extra thing you can do is after casting 20 spells with don and sharla so that they get the magic boost (+20%) from their weapons, switch them (you'll need a third spear actually) so that they can both do either fire or air attacks (soulstrike vs weapon element) after one masters soulstrike you can give on the iron spear and they'll still be able to do 2 element types.
crew also affects AP, also when you buy ships, you sell yours first so that in the end your ship and cargo are subtracted from the prices of buying ships, so even if it says "9200" you are actually not paying all of that.
protip: for cash, this game uses economics in such a way that you can get endless cash in an easy way. Since it lowers the price of something if you sell it a lot of it, and raises the price when you buy in bulk, if you go between two places, picking which prices are lower (not which prices are lower overall necessarily) and buying that in bulk, then going to the other place and selling it all for some profit, then you purchase something else that is cheaper than in the other place and sell it there. You will notice that the price is significantly higher in the first place for the first thing you bought (if you have a lot of cargo) buy something else (yes a third product) and sell it over at the other town. Now at the other town you can continue this with a fourth object or purchase the first object used which should be cheaper here than in area one. Repeat with other produce (results only occur with large cargo!!!)
This was obviously a comment made by someone who thought he was smart and didn't read the little description. This is a great game, and is different in its own ways... come on man!
good concept but it got kinda repetitive for me at least and even though while progressing new "flavours" (or concepts i suppose) were added it still felt like the same thing over and over but with walls in different places
