The lose criteria shouldn't be the arbitrary "50 turns", but something like "3 consecutive turns where no stats have changed" :-P

The thing I’d like to see is saving the option you choose for the speed for wars. I always play at 4x speed, as I’m guessing most people do, and its annoying having to keep changing it every time I log on…

It would be nice if it remembered your default speed for automated battles between sessions. (i.e. 1x, 2x, 4x)
