It was made that way so people wouldn't be stuck with the same trees throughout the whole game... No, there will not be an update so you can remove trees whenever.

Well.. Since time is not a physical thing.. It is all relative.. Making the notion of time travel impossible.... Now, o the matter of plants. I say the quest plant and xp plant, are the best.
