Between the annoying controls (especially for jumping) and the pushback from gunfire (realistic but gets annoying in firefights) it ruins what could otherwise be an excellent game.
The buccaneer is surprisingly good once you start upgrading it, its final upgrade makes it extremely devastating. Just make sure you buy the first upgrade right away, it's not very good without the grapeshot.
I don't mind the idea of paying kreds for extra maps/levels and such, but paying kreds for upgrades kinda bugs me. Still, good game even without any of the pay to play content.
I would just like to remind everyone that Ragnarok is the final battle between good and evil in Norse mythology, basically the end of the world, so you shouldn't be surprised that activating ragnarok makes bad things happen to you, especially since there is a medal for "Ragnarok Survivor".
You don't get medals for surviving GOOD things.
Each of the four basic classes will unlock a new class once you reach level 10. This also gives you a medal, so it's a good idea to try and unlock each of these for more Museum revenue. Playing on casual mode will make this much easier.
I LOVE this game, yet I wish they hadn't chosen it for the medal; it is definitely a tough game compared to what a lot of people like to play and I think it's going to get a lot of low ratings that it wouldn't otherwise get due to the medal.
To those wondering about the secret levels, to open up secret levels you have to clear heroic mode for all levels in an area between arcane guardian levels. I.E. to open up the first two hidden levels you have to clear all the missions before the first Arcane Guardian in Heroic mode. This unlocks levels number 4 and 6, the first two hiddens.
Also, for those for whom the game won't load, you may wish to try again later, it didn't load for me at first but a couple days later it did and has loaded fine ever since.
Also, I'd just like to say I love how it's called summoning them with your anger.
Gunsmith, you don't kill enemies with your anger, you summon extra enemies with your anger. This is done by dropping a gem bomb on the next wave stone, which increases the number of monsters in that wave and makes them all stronger, and makes them all give more points too. When you get far enough into the game it gives a little tutorial explaining this.
