Place about 6-7 miners around every asteroid, then recycle when the asteroid is empty. When enemy attacks, build a line of lasers at the periphery of your base. If you dont have money, recycle other turrets. In the end you will have a circle of unpenetrable lasers around your base.
When motherships come build 2-3 missile launcher for every mothership... And get some repair bases on spots where enemy frequently attacks.
Dont upgrade any miners... You lose resource when you salvage them... In fact dont upgrade ANYTHING, except power generator and stores... Normal lasers, missile launchers and miners do the job.
omg, completed insane legion with like 1mm health left... however there was a bug... some of the cells remained on the screen after they died, and couldnt remove them... in the end it was very annoying and a lot of distraction...
