I like how the boards change from level to level and the overall physics of the game. But Most pinball machines have a plunger that one can adjust the launch speed of the ball. Typically this controlled by the down button with a graduated scale of some flavor.
Also, one of the most critical things about a pinball game is the 'nudge the table' button. It dynamically helps pinball play by adding bounce/push to the table, but when abused causes a 'tilt' and all the controls go dead and the balls/score are lost. Add these two things and you got yourself a complete pinball game.
Next version should be skill-stop instead of just spin. Most real casinos use skill-stop machines to keep the people playing. In skill-stop the user stops each wheel by button at their own pace. The betting/payouts are the same but the reels are slightly faster.
Definitely put this into a retro 8-bit category. Add a MUTE please. I like the frantic pace the game sets. Try to vary the background a little more, the stripes are a good reference but dizzying after awhile. 3/5
Are there upgrades that I'm missing? I always get to a steep hill about 5 seconds into the race and stall about half way up it, start rolling backwards and lose when I touch the back of the screen. Why make a game that the first (only?) vehicle you are given will not even finish the race? Sorry, but playability needs work.
Too fast for that size flipper. Every pinball game should have a 'nudge' also. One can 'tilt' if used too much, but is integral to the upper bumper play.
Thanks for the suggestion, I've actually made it so that you can in the new version. I'll be uploading that one once I go into beta. Thanks again
