Nevicata - use the mana pool spell early and often, get a high grade purple gem set up so it hits the boss as often as possible, and then hit it with the highest grade gem-bombs you've got when it's past your strongpoint.
Just wanted to balabce out the people who are complaining about missing - Don't remove the miss possibility.
Of course there's an element of chance in the game, next you'll want special debuffs and special abilities to always apply. You need to account for chance in your strategy, and occasionally lose graciously, that's all.
@aensland. I see where you're getting at with the game not really being an RPG, but it certainly isn't just dumb luck.
You can make defensive plays aimed at limiting your opponent's options rather then just going for the obvious play every time.
Excellent game. I don't understand why people are whining about the combat system, it takes a lot more savvy then any other combat system that springs to mind.
Short though, with no flexibility on character development, and after finishing it I'm still not entirely sure about the effects of fatigue.
All in all, an original idea with a lot of potential, and I loved the art. 4/5.
Best defense game I've played.
I would add a recall function to the marketplace, so that the carts can be sheltered if the battle gets too close to the temple.
