My only complaint is that the levels are starting to have too many rounds. At some point earlier in the level I've already "won". (Have towers in all the key places and have max mana and plenty of gold). Then I just have to grind out the waves and deal with lag...
I love the genre and you definitely are a skilled storyteller, but this game just does too many things that an adventure game shouldn't. For one, while most adventure games do have you returning to certain areas to complete puzzles, the amount of backtracking here is a bit excessive. Then the bit with the wall about "I don't want to make a mess" is a bit confusing. It leads us to believe that the hammer ISN'T what takes down the wall even though it is... Triggering the cat is also poor implementation, you can do everything you can up to that point and solve all the puzzles but you can't continue until you traverse all the rooms again and find the specific one that triggers the next scene? Just... ugh. Also, the main character moves pretty slowly for a game with a lot of backtracking. I'm not sure if it's trying to build ambiance or what, but it really should either be sped up or the backtracking should be toned down.
I have to say, I am LOVING this game. My only caveat is the lack of a speed up button, but I do like that we can immediately send the next wave when the previous one is finished, if we wish. Being able to place/upgrade towers while paused would be a nice touch, but is no means necessary.
When you're in certain screens like the shop or the dojo you can click and drag in order to see more of what's there. This should be explained somewhere, possibly in the instructions tab!
I really would like sound/music settings to persist on different plays. I always turn the sound and music off when I load the game and sometimes I don't want it to make any noise while opening.
I figured it out. On the levels with multiple hydras, there's so much lag that you need to hit space bar a bit before you go into the revive area, since it will take a little bit to register
IS it just me or does the revive bar seem to not be smooth? Like, I know I pushed space where it should have been over the heart, but when the smoke clears it's past it. Maybe it's just lag I guess, but I have a pretty good computer.
If we can't feed our troops outside of battle, can they at least find a way to feed themselves when they aren't fighting or while we're not logged in? It's strange that they apparently don't understand how to eat on their own.
