Not sure if it has been changed recently, but now you can farm unlimited gold regardless of your league rank. You would be +5 gold per match every 2 hours, saved up to 6(or 7?). Join an alliance with perk +Gold per match to add even more gold income. You also get 5+ Gold and few minis every 4 hours in Free Gift on bottom right corner of screen.
Just don't expect to become Godly in few weeks, take your time and have fun and eventually you will be in easy street. After all, you lose nothing when you lose matches in this game aside pride.
@ YellowNomNom: Not sure about other browsers, but Chrome secretly updated itself without my knowledge recently, yet AGAIN. If you see the little puzzle jigsaw icon on very right corner of your addressbar, click "Run all plugins this time". I have made exemption for kongregate to run all plugins but Chrome is broken like so.
I got impression 3rd badge required me to not die at all before reaching the end since it states: "Escape the research facility with trophy in hand and limbs intact" But, i died once yet still got the last badge so for all of you who are thinking to refresh page upon death, DON'T. You just have to walk to the left side of the screen before entering trophy room to get the Trophy and 3rd badge. Ta-da.

Dear Mamadillo and Papadillo, it has been 28 days since I left you and started working for Kongregate as intern. Those were the dizzy days. Everyday I climb into a cannon and let them launch me and at first i thought it was for some experiments they were working on but i fear something else is going on. Ever since day 8, cute-eyed creatures started to show up. And now there are several of them. Some look very serious. It is quiet unnerving how they float around me ceaselessly without change of expression. I have power of rocket boost at my disposal, however it really hurts when i hit something while it's thrusting so i curl up and spin most of the time. Don't worry, it doesn't hurt much. It just makes me dizzy all the time. I think it's time to crawl back into the cannon again. I miss you, -Armadillo.
