I wonder if someone could get to infinity and beyond without using omega components. With them it's really easy, without them I was only able to 5m with 4 solar, spearhead, double fins, fuel can and dark matter, and orital cannon launcher, all maxed+30.
Something is terribly wrong with this game's physics when it comes to lifting a payload. The engine on the first stage accelerates the entire ship (with 150 payload) faster than the same engine, same upgrade level, but on the second stage, what to say about third stage onward.
Yeah it's not even physics at this point. Your thrust is scaled to your mass in LtF3, so the lighter you get, the lower thrust you have. It's how the game was built before payload existed.
Yep... Didn't notice this till the game-jam submission time was up. Since it's the last level, there's nothing after that, so the game is effectively over anyway. Still, it's not professional, tut tut! Thanks for playing :)
Nice little game. The attractor field configuration is kind of weird, and the speed of impact should matter with damage done to asteroid, or else just landing a ball to one of the rocks does a lot more damage than hitting it with a half speed of light. And yes, feedback on how much to mine would be nice. Maybe also collect the dust with mothership instead of auto.
Yep, I agree! not sure about the auto-collect, I tend to dislike games which make you pick up "coins" but then again it might work with this format! I'll think about it! If I make any of these corrections it will be to a sequel, since I don't want to alter this one as it was for a game-jam :)
superjared, go for quantity not quality here, and go for scaffolded and curved webs instead of straight edge webs. Add as much inner strands for your scaffolding as possible, but don't under-extend, so make two weaker webs while you're building a stronger one. And never stop building your strong web, bees will always tear at its edges, protect them with layers upon layers of web. This is said by one of the few persons who reached "infinite" status here.
I've broken the game. RMB, Play, Start, wait, Flash crashed. Browser restart, Infinity money. Thanks. You should fix those bugs, you know. Also, whenever you absorb essences, gems attached to spells don't get locked back, regardless of whether it's a new spell, same with auto state.
Public statistics are BADLY needed. Days complete story, 1M, payload, also days complete 1st story only (when you don't have anything but stock devices). Just max height/distance doesn't cut.
Boy I hate those obstacles with a passion. You fly on your spearhead powered by ramjets, speed 70 straight up, then all of a sudden BAM and you're flying sideways. What happened? I just hit a Boeing. Obstacles here are just that, you either hit them or not, you can't do squat to avoid the collision, just because you have about 3 frames to do so. Otherwise, 6/5 and going.
Strafers will turn this game into another exact clone of generic shooter, here you have to combat with your slow ship to change thrust vector, this makes this game more original. There are some flaws in game code, that should be fixed, I wrote you on the forums.
Finally, managed to complete all missions before earning Wrecker II achievement (hit 80 friendly objects). In the meantime, Invincible achievement was received. I'm the Ace!
