"Did you hear that? That Legen Dary that used to sweep our streets some time ago tickled a skeleton with a ton on fireballs for 6 damage per shot, then obliterated it with a single swipe! He must be a damn good mage."
It'll be a 5/5 if not for the over-monetization. Cool, in the line of OE1/2 so far, and great to the eyes, but constant "Buy me" annoys beyond measure.
When you are in love, the moments last forever, but once you go too far, time goes by in an instant. A lesson to learn I think, the more love is with you, the longer you stay in it.
To not get "raped" on normal day 1, play a hunter or rogue, optionally have a set of achievements on casual. And yes, the game requires sturdy hand to play. Thanks for the BOTD to remind me of this.
A protip: To avoid blowing up, even if you get rammed, have an armor celle adjacent to your core at all times. This won't be a panacea, but it helps surviving a stray cannon shot or a faceful of blast.
Set date back to say 1994, start game, get 2% or 4% power idle gold, close the game, set date to normal, load game, ??? BIG PROFIT! And without license hassle.
@dwilly951 stars info is available on level select screen, it says what score is needed to get next star. (It might be not enough, tho) Also you can do tricks with bypassing glitches too, there's "Proxy" tower that makes it possible to route fliers. And, normal towers hit fliers too, also they are a lot weaker, thus your normal defences are pretty capable of wrecking them.
Some minor flaws are: "Spike" trap isn't named towards hacker's theme, you'd better name it "Trigger" IMHO. "Null" sector poorly fits the role it plays in the game, it'll be better named say "R/O" sector, for "read only" - you see a glitch there, you can't damage it there. Maybe provide v.1.3 upgrades for towers in survival, worth a bunch of data, maybe even higher than 1.3, otherwise seeing them "1.2" and all is a pity. And finally, you have there a completely useless branch of towers (blue) - they don't do damage, rollbacks are somewhat useful tho, but one can do without them should there be asource of damage in blue form. Survival is all about overheats and scan towers, and proxies as means of elongating the path, as there are too many threats for single target towers to ever handle. Most levels can too be done with overheat, scan/split/recur, ping, decompile, buffer and spike - not too much replay value.
First, the game is really great, challenging and pretty built. But it has a bunch of flaws, bugs, glitches and viru^Winconsistencies. I wish you would make an option to turn off particles, later stages of survival are unplayable with them, 300+ monsters and 100+ gems on screen, and repeated *boom* which sends particles flying. Second, a major bug is there, if a polymorph shifts form, it forgets about visited proxies and goes again to the first one. This made #40 a joke once I've learned how to build initial stages. Without it, however, polymorphs are a major frustration, as you plain cannot do levels with them without proxies safely - a bad roll on a polymorph bug nulls your defences. Flying, haste, flying - hello server. Not to mention nearby glitches that are brought to the server too - hello defeat, start over. (cont.)
nice game 4/5. You know my opinion. Just saying, the GITD theme was "Minimalism", so take that into consideration when placing ratings. As for me, the game fits perfectly.
For some reason the last update feels a lot slower to play than 1.19k I played last time. Changing quality to low didn't help as much as I expected. What has changed in your enterframe routine so it is now twice slower?
Nothing changed. Maybe you have more tabs/windows open?
