A tip to beat Insker: Get a custom deck with Elven Healers, upped Giant Turtle, Meditation, Rejuvenation and Phoenixes. Spam healers until turtle, then place the turtle and spam Meditation until full phoenixes.
Yep, Insker is the most difficult opponent in the entire campaign. If you're having troubles with Chronomaster, you might consider using say Sorcerer, get the ability for sacrificing creatures and wreck that swamp :D Or Demonologist, or Necromancer, that one is better with Emissary turning a swamp into 7/48 monster :P
Bonus time: 2:11:46 hehe :) 22/50 planets visited, all done. I wonder though, is it possible to upgrade all within 20 planets? I had to spend two extra just to get enough pearls.
A bug: A viscera beast spawned at depth 246 (right under the playable part of the map), was displayed on the radar, and I've blasted at it with dynamite and killed! I lol'd.
Great game indeed. Spent three days rampaging the campaign on Normal, Sorcery, had a lot of fun. Yep Phoenix are OP, if you can maintain 10 fire, but you need 7 turns to place another phoenix, in the meantime you could get Hypnosys in your face, or possibly Drain Souls or a similar "destroy all" stuff. I'd say Phoenixes need to eat 1 fire power each rebirth - they have to get that energy from somewhere, and since they don't have their own, the wizard has to compensate.
Update: Yep, to get through that level one has to light up all specials in the previous levels. Also, there's a bug in level 5, "Specials" text field isn't displayed.
Got trapped at the "level" where it says "Level 4: x/3 Leve 5: x/3 Level 6: x/3". And yes, hanging on the wall and occasional lockup of controls (where I hane to press right two times instead of one) annoy me a little. A decent game overall IMHO. 3/5
Oh, i guess i didnt make it clear enough. you have to find all the specials in order to pass. you are NOT supposed to do whatever you tried to do, which indeed sounds annoying.
For some reason I was able to get a helicopter with windshield down many miles before, and a lot of bullets in my face. Phew, BotD done, screw the game - until next time. It harms me just to see this, let alone play and try to win. 4/5 for the atmosphere, as I am really immersed.
@Simmy You can get a lucky amber "just" below 170m, but if you find one 1-2 meters above your reach, blast at it with dynamite then get to the shuttle.
To second comments about "teleporting doesn't drop pressure/temp": While teleporting to the surface has a reason to not drop it all at once, teleporting to *ship* and backwards should reset the gauge, because the drone has just underwent maintenance on the base, which took an indefinite but large enough time for the core to cool down or to decompress.
With the last update the viscera is again the hardest resource to obtain - before you could get more due to drill bonus, now you cannot. Now there is just 1-5 viscera per turtle, period, with just 15 per planet. Pearls are worse with 3 per oyster and 9 total per planet, but they are used in lesser quantities. I actually expect chitin to be acquired in the same 1-5 per snake, making collecting the initial 3 chitin for the very first recipe that requires chitin a real PITA.
A bug: While you now can get viscera off aerials by using dynamite, you do not receive drill bonus for that, only 1 viscera is granted (2 if bonus time). Also, I've now collected all logs (thanks for the patch!) and I don't know what to do further. There are "Active Quests" for me, but their descriptions are empty (placeholders?). So, stalling the gameplay again but upping the rating to 5.
ajh296, corals (aquatic crystals) are not drawn on either main screen or radar, but you can discern where they are by searching for pieces of bottom without any grass growing over them, mine them and get corals.
We have added the Kongregate API even in the Preview version, so it's here as well
