RiseFall...That's what Unity web player is about to do.
Why keep making these types of games if major browsers are gonna
just kick out the Unity plugin? Some really good games have been
wasted on Unity and could have been made with flash player.
Unity permit to develop on many platforms with semplicity and with a very small cost. For our team that is composed by three people it's the best solution. This game was done for web and mobile and potentially we can do the porting on many others platforms. By the way we have ready the web-gl version of the game that should work on every recent browser, but we are focusing on other aspects of the game now, and we probably switch to web-gl version in a month. Hope this can answer to your question! Thanks!
This is why I no longer put lumps of cash into MMOs. At some point I
knew the game would shutdown eventually. Down to 2 Multiplayer
games. And when they die. Going back to PC and console gaming
The devs will refund a portion of the kreds we all spent on HOTR
If you never spent a dime on kreds for the game, you da man.
Already playing 2 games of this type. If you came sooner, you
would have had me as a player already. The game looks good
because it seems old school like Age of Empires. I hope it does
well. Welcome to Kong. :)
WebGL for now is very bad. Build times take up to 10 mins and may fail 2-3 times in a row. Game size is increased (1.5mb for webplayer and 20mb for webgl). Different problems on code side sometimes hard to resolve. Problems with testing - any exception stops game and you need to restart or rebuild with fix and test again. No way to use try-catch mechanics without considerable performance drop. Total headache.
I might reconsider playing the game if there was a way to
resize the game screen. It is simply too big for my monitor
even in Kong's cinematic mode. A fullscreen button would
be nice.
ugh...I take back what I said about the game in the beginning.
It is completely rigged to keep a none cashier from making ANY
progress and running in place until they decide to spend money
on it. In the end it's not worth your time or your money.
a few more questions...How and where do I even begin to train my captain without earned in-game deuterium? He's just sitting there on standby
looking stupid. What happened to that combat training area that was
in the tutorial? I want to take my first captain back there to train. :(
Hi Vidiot966. On the right of the screen are four buttons. The one at the top is the Arena, where you can take part in fights against other players and aliens.
Um. How do I get extra storage for my crystals and other stuff?
Currency shouldn't disintegrate. How about something that's just
plain good ol' fashion "storage" facilities? Crystals disintegrating?
That's a new one on me. And why does everything require so
much time to build? I had my share of Time World and never
looked back either. I hope I'm wrong, but this game looks like
it's headed in the Time World direction.
Hi Vidiot966. The amount of storage space you have on each asteroid is determined by the level of your Control Center, and the level of your storage facilities (the Arsenal and the Tech Warehouse, both of which can be found in the "Resources" section of the Construction tab). Storage for certain resources can also be boosted by the skills of your Captains and Officers.
Hmm. International chat? Too bad no one speaks
English there. However, I could get my brother to
translate German for me. Yeah that might work....Maybe.
Hi Vidiot966. You'll find that there are people actively using German, French and English in the Chat (and indeed, many players are multilingual and happy to chat in their non-native languages.) We're hoping to introduce chat filters in the future which would allow players to choose to only view chat messages in their own language.
