Some answers need to be tweaked like "how old are you?" "I am fine, thank you". The AI understands 'what is my name?' but not 'what's my name?'. I would also like to see some response on the United Space Agency (in the chess program info), and on things like 'start self-destruction sequence' or 'format c:'.
I know this may sound ridiculous to you, but I am quitting this game because I have to dismiss all of my heroes to get the hero hall relocated. Placing the buildings the way I want is something that matters to me, and I usually bear the cost of demolishing and rebuilding if the game doesn't have a 'rearrangement' feature. But even though I am willing to bear some burden, getting rid of all of my heroes is too much.
There are a lot of similar strategy games out there which make the small things matter. I'm not saying this game is horrible because I can't move the buildings around. I like this game and if I was lucky and got the hero hall at the perfect spot at the first time, I'd probably be playing this wonderful game for a long time. But the inconsideration of people who take 'appearance' crucially just didn't suit me.
The help pages need some serious updates. Apologies for that. I'm going to be doing a major overhaul of the help files in the coming week or so after I get some more features in. V1.0 and the beginnings of the lobby will follow.
The archer's attack power shows up differently between the hero management screen(37 @Lv11) and the battle result screen(25 @Lv11). I think it's a display bug.
Along with the illegible font itself, the suddenly appearing dialogue in the middle of a battle makes it really hard to follow along the story line. D:
Thank you for your answers (you too, Crafty). Then if I act on someone else's bill and put on the high-yield outfit at the end, will the clout I'll be getting be the same regardless of the stat at the playing moment, or higher when I use high Speaking Ability/Intelligence during the act, since it will deal better influence? (In other words, does the amount of clout payed out depend on the total influence exerted or just the number of time acted?)
CHA/ATT only affect Clout gain from your own bills passing. Clout gained from acting on other players' bills is based on the amount you affect the bill (meaning INT/SPK are the only important stats there).
One more question, does the stats influencing the amount of clout I get take effect when I introduce the the bill, or when I act on a bill, or when the bill gets passed? I'm curious if swapping items when acting on a bill is a valid method. If stats are affected at the point of acting then putting on power items would be speeding up for the cost of the harvest, instead of being a smart 'tetris move'.
You can chance clothes at the end to gain more clout. This is intentional, and basically the equivalent of going to congress in one set of clothes and doing your press conference in another. Seems reasonable to me, so I left that in.
I don't know what's the problem but I've been trying on different items but Speaking Ability/Intelligence doesn't seem to effect my strength on bills. Does some abilities, such as Invoke Prior Military Service, are effected by traits, like Military Service, and not stats?
No. Speaking ability and intelligence are the primary stats for all ability plays. A couple points won't make a major noticeable difference... but also remember that stress decreases the strength of your ability plays negatively, so make sure that's not just counterbalancing your improved ability plays. To give you an idea of the effect speaking ability can have: an ability that isn't strong or weak does a base of 100. An ability that's strong does a base of 200. Many CT4 players routinely play abilities that do 300-350 thanks to their stats.
I enchanted my weapon, sorted my inventory and before going back to hunting I refreshed the browser so it wouldn't get too laggy. Guess what. The enchant was undone and inventory was messy. And when I tried to enchant my weapon again it failed. I would be pleased if you check the log and restore my status to the previous state before it got all messed up that cost me a good gem.
That doesn't take away the need for tracking bills. I DO consider the contents of the bill I support, the random part is when there are several identical bills by different players. Since this game is designed to be played just a couple of times a day it will take time to get familiar with the names of party members, and there needs to be a way other than forcing players to memorize or write down a handful of names. Using a notepad/excel should be an optional choice for eager players not a mandatory.
Even if I remember the names, whenever I want to check whether a bill needs further support I have to ctrl+f all the time. Again, if I have supported several same bills by different players and one gets passed, I need to ctrl+f to find out which one it was.
I don't see why you're trying NOT to do something about it. It's not like the inconvenience is part of the fun, is it?
I don't think anyone is writing down bill stuff in notepad/excel to get back to it.... but I guess I could be wrong. I have plans to implement a way to filter the bill list at some point, and I suppose I'll add a "bills I have acted on option" for those that want it. This just isn't a common enough complaint for me to add all the bills you've acted on to "my bills", which would potentially severely clutter that list for people that don't want that to happen.
I wish there was a list of bills I participated in, not just the ones I introduced. It's kinda hard to keep track when I randomly choose a bill to help out.
Perhaps the solution is to be more judicious about which bills you help out? This is also good for the nation. Make sure you pay attention to the nation stats when choosing what bills to support/oppose.
Restoration of the old-school RPG doesn't necessarily mean it has to copy the inconvenient interface too. No maps, excessive use of double-clicks, limited inventory space etc reduces the fun dramatically. I love these kind of games that reminds me what I used to play 15 years ago, but that doesn't mean I should keep up with the unfriendly features. I mean, why the heck does moving around have to be so frustrating?
I gotta say it feels a lot like Dark Orbit. Not saying it's a copy or something, but it does lack that getting-to-know feeling you get when you first start a new game.
Yeah that bug was around far to long, it should be fixed now however, I hope it works for you!
