firstly you said that this was your first try with kongregate API but it does not even have API implemented as there are no high scores also is the screen that I can see the actual game or is it the loading screen? maybe add a menu!

story so far screen
tower/enemy info
fix the glitches/bugs
adding a sell function
upgrades will cost money
difficulty modes
settings screen

nice for a first game (i know you probably used gabs tutorial)
to improve on this game you should add stuff like the following:
music,
multiple levels,
score,
timer (how long you have survived),
different enemies,
lives,
you lost screen (once you have lost a certain amount of levels),
upgrades (better weapon, reload speed),
power ups,
multiple weapons,
And other stuff like that,
hope this helped at the moment i would give it 2/5 but if you do all of that then i would give it 4 or 5/5 depending on what mood i am in! well done for a first game
2/5 here are some things you could do to make it better why not change it so the ball is actually touching the platforms and also when you die everything disappears. also in the description it says free to play, just saying that all games are free on kongregate.
was this game made on game maker? and if so how did you upload it to kongregate? im also guessing it is stolen as it says and you even wrote it was made by 'bigchunkgames' sorry for being negative
i know this game is going to get downrated quickly but give this guy a break this is his first game and he is trying his best. everyone has to start somewhere. how do we know that this guy may not become a brilliant game maker one day, im not saying he will be but who knows dont judge him by 1 game.
sorry for commenting twice but you should also add some sort of barrier to prevent the sprite from exiting the screen and also when you press up and right or up and left or down and right or down and left (sorry for it being confusing) it does not go diagonally. again if you would like any help please write to me maybe we can make a game together?
it is good for a second attempt. i think you should maybe add more levels say after reaching a certain score go to the next level or something like that. i gave you 3/5 maybe try and add music and powerups and that would make this game much better. if you would like any more help i can refer some youtube links or help you directly.
if this game had more difficulty modes and maybe some other things such as powerups and achievements/upgrades then i think it could become a much better game. i gave you 3/5 for a nice attempt
