I forgot how hilarious you guys could be. So very amazing. My two favorite parts had to do with the stone skipper girl. More so when you meet her down below. "Hello again, Orange Head." "iii'm...the beeeest... stone skiipper. *Demonic face.* RRYYRNGH" "Nice to see you again, too." I laughed my ass off. You guys take it to a whole 'nother level of hilarious. Like making a ton of money from your funny funny. Please keep being as awesome. It would make this world a much better place. 10/5.
I remember what I forgot to post in my last comment. When they ask for a waffle mixed with blueberry or something, on the ticket it makes it extremely difficult to make out whether it's a waffle or a pancake. It would be nice if it was a bit more distinct.
In future games what I'd like to see is an automatic ticket sorter upgrade you can purchase so that you don't accidentally get them all mixed up. Also, it's just too hard to put some things on there, like the raspberries on whipping cream. The difficulty on that needs to be taken down a notch in later games where you have to do similar builds.
Hero: "We're going to kill you for being evil!"
Evil Villain: "Activate special power: Spam drones!"
You win!
PS. Thank you, Nerdook, for putting songs back into your games. It's just not a Nerdook game without a fun song to look forward to at the end.
Really nice game. I just have one bad thing to say about this. After staring at the screen for so long, when I move my white strand to a white circle my eyes have a hard time adjusting to realize there's another circle in front of me that I have to move to. The strand itself is fine, but either a different color for the circles or color customization so that we can do it ourselves, would be absolutely amazing and turn this into a five instead of a 4/5. Keep up the great work, though.
I noticed one thing amiss from this rather awesome game. Even at one hundred, the automatic health regeneration skill never worked. Did not let me regain anything, no matter how long I waited.
As great a game as this is, some parts I found annoying/silly. First of all, the clues. When you can find the number 1 clue right next to the number 10 clue, something is seriously off. Secondly, I would have liked it better if the deduction scenarios happened AFTER you got all the clues. While looking for clues, it's annoying that they're in the way. Then there was the alarm code we have to put in. Having only three tries I can live with. The fact that the numbers have to randomize EVERY time sucked. This way it comes down to luck, not skill, or deduction. Still, despite that, it was fun to play. Keep up the great work.
You know you'll be safe when a happy face fortress talks to you. "No energy? Hostiles? No pay? No problem kids, we have yellow happy sunshine fortress!!"
Really short and really easy. Too easy. There's barely any reason to upgrade weapons, and I didn't even do so until I had enough to get the next to best weapon. I would say "think about upping the difficulty," but I don't think it matters after all these years.
There is one thing I'd like to see change (either here or in future games). When decorating, if you have items on the ground near the wall you can't see to place your posters and the like, so you have to move your items. While you're in decorating mode at least, it would be nice if you could make the ground items transparent so we can see to place our posters.
What a beautiful and touching game. Though the sea could get annoying with all those hiding creatures. Also, is it just me, or was the bear, and its voice, extremely creepy? I loved her voice, though. Very pretty. Very well done. I look forward to more games from you.
Second playthrough, second save, and every time I beat the last level it won't even let me finish it anymore. It just acts like it wants me to get him to attack, even though there is nothing TO attack. Also, if you go to the trouble to waste a turn using shields it would be nice if they lasted a couple of rounds rather than leave instantly. Makes it pointless to use shields and is better to just power through.
I don't see why he forgets all his skills the moment he gets back to the regular world. I mean he had been there for two seconds. He should have retained something. In future games (I'm sure I'm not the only one hoping for another) it would be nice if there was a little reward for those that have a save from this game on their computer. A little incentive to play further back if someone hasn't already.
Continued: And finally (at least for now) at the victory page when it shows how much progress to your next level it doesn't actually show it. It shows that you have maxed out experience, not how far to go to the next level. That's all I can think of for now.
A couple things that I thought were off. 1) You should be able to cut a set of combo tiles short instead of being forced to use them all. Say you have like six tiles of the same type, but know that three will finish off the creature. Then you should be allowed to stop there instead of forcing us to use them all. Or, if you don't want to do that, shift the remaining attack to an alive monster/person. It doesn't make sense that his attacks are interrupted just because he killed one of them. 2) You have a vampiric move and yet it doesn't drain your target of blood to replenish a bit of your health? Really? Even if it was only activated if used when they have no armor, just health. I mean you're essentially feeding off of them with a move like that. So why doesn't it heal you for a certain amount. Even if it's a small amount? 3) When you scroll over equipment in the shop a box should pop up that compares what you have on to what you're looking at.
With how bad I am at games like this the hard badge is turning out to be more along the lines of an impossible badge. I love this game, though. I love how the shots are tied into the music. And that the spaceships are just one giant, overpowered speaker. I don't know if I'll ever be able to reach that hard badge, but I'll try. Word of advice for you guys, though: Don't play a game of this epic magnitude with a split screen. It makes things a bit more... impossible.
At one point I found out it's a giant match of Rock, Paper, Scissors. Cat beats alien, alien beats portal, portal beats cat. Because on level 20 if the cat didn't go through the portal in just the right way it would "jump" back up, hit the exit portal, and count as dead. So there it is. Aliens are like us. They play games, too!
This is an odd, small, relatively easy game, yet I find myself oddly addicted to it. It would just be nice if there were more players. It kind of sucks to have it be one-on-one all the time. Or two people always going after only you. It's supposed to be a free-for-all. So be free. Attack ANYONE in there since it's so rare to have people inside the game.
I loved the first game and I love this game. Even though it was hours of mind-numbing evilness, I miss the challenge mode. Why? Because the story is so incredibly easy and it ends just like that. No extras. No great cards, no library, no new rounds. Nothing. It was rather disappointing. If this is all there's going to be it would be nice to get badges like on the first game. For example: Beat X amount of rounds: Easy badge. Get 150+ score at the end of a battle: Medium badge. Get all S rank rounds: ...Medium badge.
Yeah... The Sea level....too hard! Hahah creepy voice. Yeah, Sellars Voice was great! Thank you for your kind words!
