Any timeline when this game will continue. The game had a Weapons and Armor and leveling system but I never saw any equipment. And I never leveled up beyond 1. I would really love to see this game continue. To get Jobs , to move up in Rank , to level up, to develop skills and improve. Etc. Please make this into a full game. It has SO much potential. 5/5 5*!!! Love it!! I would love to know if you had any timeline in mind as to when you will be coming out with more?
Suggestion: On a long dungeon. For example 33 rooms. You often encounter new monsters in room you have already cleared. I know this is how you want it. But it can get quite tedious. I've been trying to clear this one dungeon for over an hour. I'll get to the boss room, but then it might take me half a dozen attempts to get back to him again, since I'll encounter monsters in rooms I've already cleared, that can quite often be as tough as the boss. My Suggestion is to allow (perhaps a small chance), to have gold , xp or something worth our while, after killing these monsters again. Something to make it rewarding to be re-fighting rooms already cleared.
There should be a chance of treasure when defeating any monsters (even wandering monsters) -- though I may want to boost the treasure qualities a bit from where they are if a higher rank monster is spawned. (Actually found a bug there -- the chance was going DOWN instead of UP for treasures from more difficult monster rooms, it should have been 50-80%, but was going from 50% to 20%) And there's always xp for killing them (although the value in lower level dungeons might not be that high -- for reference, the value is monster attack * monster defense * 10 for killing monsters)
Also, not 100% sure if this is a bug or not. But one of my warriors, before he learned "Sword Attack +10%" , had an attack of 38. After he fully learned the skill (ie: is assigned in Skill Slot 1).. his attack still shows 38. Would we not see the sword attack +10%, show up in the atk stat? If not, maybe you should consider adding an overall DMG stat that show how much he inflicts. It's just nice to see where and how that Sword Attack +10% is positively affecting your stats etc.
Suggestion: This is more of a long road suggestion. Given your about to work on Parties. It's a given, we need a few new class types. Specifically a Healer to join the party and a magic caster. This is to complete the big 4 party stereotype of Fighter, Rogue, Mage, Priest type of idea.
Mages MIGHT be in in the 0.3.x series (skills have made them viable now, but I need to decide the path I'm going to take with them). Healers won't make sense until other adventurers can go with them of course (so probably in the 0.4.x series)
Suggestion: Can you consider perhaps getting rid of the Travel time to Dungeons. People will be playing this in 2 modes. Idle : Letting the resources and experience of your heroes grow, while your away from your PC. Active: Your at your PC.. usually to do dungeons. I'm not saying to get rid of the exploration time to discover them, but rather just the travel time. If I'm online , active .. I don't want to sit and watch a timer for 6 mins.. for the dungeon to start. Just a thought.
The travel time is there for balance reasons, but I may reduce the effect of distance on the travel time past a certain distance, so instead of 5 seconds per point of distance, change it to 5 seconds per point up to 60 seconds (12 distance), then 2 seconds per point up to 2m (42 distance), then one second per point after that.)
Suggestion: Please add the ability to sell buildings. I have accidentally had the x5 button activated, and I bought 5 additional tannery's, bring me to 7 Tannery's. I only wanted to buy the 1. Now I am at a -3 loss on Hides. Yes I know I can uncheck the tannery building. But having the ability to sell back the buildings , fixing my error, will resolve the issue. And yes I also realize I can just buy more Woodcutter's to offset it. I'll be doing that. Again though, the option to sell back buildings would be appreciated . :)
I don't know if I'll add the ability to SELL buildings, but I may add the ability to be more granular in how many buildings are turned on for conversion.
I apologize, I seem to be overlooking something. I'm sure it's minor. But I can't seem to figure out how to equip my items on my adventurers.
Could someone point it out for me please?
Right now, you select the item in the armory, and click equip -- it will bring up a list of eligible adventurers. Eventually it will be also done via the adventurer page (select the slot, and it will being up a list of eligible items)
I'm really confused at how promotions work. I'm not good with math, so it all just hurts my head. I just want to know which is the best to choose first.. and when do I know when is a good time to do it? Can someone PM me the answer? I'd appreciate it.
I agree with all the comments to date. I absolutely love this game. 5* . I am very much looking forward to chapter 2. This game had heart, story, excitement. I think the biggest compliment I can give this game, is that you have told the story so well, that you cared for the characters. So much so, that the ending of this chapter, having her say goodbye to everyone , really really meant something. It was very touching.
My one wish: Please allow her to revisit the forest again, to see her friends again. I want to see that happen. The reactions of her return.
I really can't wait for Chapter 2. Any idea when that will be?
I personally disagree with @inthrees. I like it the way it is on the EXP screen. Because in my mind the order is Paladin, Mage, Ninja. And on the XP screen I like to level up there skills in that order . That is the order the buttons are in. And on the main screen.. I look at it as Paladin's in front to Protect.. so he needs to be on the right.. then Mage then Ninja. Although technically Ninja should be in the middle.. mage in far back. I know that's has nothing to do with anything. But that's how I see it ;)
Wondering when would be a good time to Ascend for the first time?
In my first run here (which is my current run), I have 65 blue diamonds and 1 green. I am currently at level 130. Can I go further. Probably, just takes time to let my money and xp grow, to buy more of everything. But I don't know if I'm better off pushing further, vs starting over at this point. Thoughts?
Can someone PM me, a talent build suggestion? I am not sure the best way to go.. I've been putting everything in that middle talent (Bonus experience Gain.) But not sure if this is best or not. It's at lvl 23 for me. Please PM me a useful talent build. Thanks.
If I can afford it, is it best to have all of the highest unit type? like Right now I have 15 Ninja's.. But I can afford to replace them all with Catapult's. Just not sure if an upgraded ninja is better over an non upgraded catapult.. etc
Wow..this is one of the best games I've played in my 6+ on Kongregate. I Played all 4 chapters in 2 days.. And the story is amazing. Thank you for such a great and amazing game!! 5/5 on each chapter!!
Thank you SO MUCH for your appreciation! :)
We hope you'll like our next adventures as well! If you liked it, keep following us: soon we'll begin a kickstarting campaign to raise funds and develop a new Mr. Gilbert's adventure! Stay tuned and keep having fun!
Great game. But very disapointed in the development. There's just not enough to keep anyone coming back. Resetting is pointless. Your just re-playing the same game over again, just a bit faster.
Note to the DeV: You need re-invent the game. Take a look at other games of it's like (Clicker Heroes, Tap Titans etc). There is a purpose, a reason to reset, to move forward.
I will look for new updates to see if anything gets added, but otherwise I'm done with the game. 3/5 .
The whole ending, seems loosely based on Raymond E Fiest's Riftwar Saga. With the Egg Gods basically being the Valheru trying to come back. Anyone else notice that?
Sorry.. meant to say.. does anyone know what Pitforest meant by this comment in the Dev's Log?
" Remember that farm maps aren't there to be played through once and then discarded. Rather, they should be used to prepare your raiders for raid attempts in between the cooldowns. Because of that, they are balanced in such a way that higher level farm map does not necessarily mean more difficult farm map, and there are various trade-offs when picking farming maps, so there can be good reasons to return to earlier farm levels even when your raiders are of higher level."
I have not seen any reason to go back to previous farm map. So I'm not sure what he means by that.
