I very much enjoy the visual style and basic mechanics. There are a great many details that would be nice to have explained (like having to activate a banner and only being able to use one at a time). I do not understand the reason for having to convert spoils; the only possible outcome of that action is to lose. There needs to be a possibility for a "plus" in that activity.

Very well thought-out minimalistic viking game. It gets repetitive after you unlock all of the cards but it will take some time to get you there. A few quick tips: Do not use any of the spell cards. Fighting earns you spoils. Transform those into ashes(the in-game currency) by trying to collect as many falling weapons as you can into the Odin's mug. Use the spoils banner before using the attack one. Try maximizing both. Try upgrading the forge container to at least few thousand enemy souls as those give you extra time needed for the completion of some of the levels. That pretty much sums it, 5 stars from me on this one.

I enjoyed the game (got to level 28 before getting bored) a few things though:

What is 'support' does it stack? what does it exactly do?
What about unbreakable? The only character to use it seems to just run past everyone effortlessly.
Spells are SUPER ambiguous and generally worthless
There is WAY to much randomness, which I assume becomes more apparent later because the enemy already spawns a small army before I get a card and can take down a chunk of my life. This means that if the first draw or 2 are terrible it makes more sense to restart a stage

Quick note for those who haven't figured it out: You have to click on a banner in the banner screen to make it your active banner, and give you the effect. I originally thought they were all passives that were always on, but such is not the case. You can only have one of them active at a time.

Sure like to be able to get rid of my spell cards. I never use them. And they just clutter things up. Great game.
