Arrow keys to move, Mouse to adjust the view.
Developer Updates
Version 2.1.1
Upgraded from Unity 5 to Unity 4 (to resolve a couple stability and performance problems that either Unity 5 or my unstudied use thereof seems to have introduced).
The controls no longer become unresponsive while operating button-triggered gates.
A text box was adjusted to prevent it from expanding off-screen.

Brilliantly difficult, but addictive puzzle game. Will either keep me entertained or annoyed for hours to come. Very nice work. Glad you posted this in the Programming Forums, or I might have missed this gem.
I'm glad you like it so far! If you want to see more, please watch the project, let your friends know that such a game exists, and if you feel it's really a deserving project, consider getting the complete version and posting some awesome puzzles! (I would love to continue working on it, but I kind of need a strong community to back it.)

This game is brilliantly difficult. Also, props for using the Well-Tempered Clavier for the music.
The music was kind of an odd choice by my perspective at the time (since the more conventional choice would have been to acquire or create a slower, much more ambient soundtrack), but when I was hearing Classical pieces coming out of a C-64 game music collection, I just HAD to run with it. It was nevertheless, quite nice to let the game run in the background and listen while working.

There's a bit of a problem. When text boxes appear the control buttons at the lower left vanish. This becomes a problem with the "Now you HAVE to reset" box, which leaves you inescapably trapped in the hole because of the presence of the text box.
It has been fixed. Thanks for the report!

Terrific. Reminiscent of old puzzle dungeon games. There are small inconveniences but overall it's thoughtful and well-made.
My most significant criticism is the inability to back up a step or two rather than having to start a level from the very beginning.

Text boxes can escape the bounds of the visible screen. Please fix.
I located and fixed one offending text box. Thanks for catching that one.
