Description

A browser breakout song.

You pick a First Fracture. The garden answers with glass, vein, dense, and echo. Cards arrive in threes. Packs hold 25. Elites show up when the bed gets mean. Combo conducts the music — Hauntology, then Midnight Pulse. A survive clock and a key can widen the bed. Death wipes the run. No shop. No loadout. No map to hide in.

Best combo and a seen-card journal stay in the browser.

Taste first. Short runs. The garden remembers what you have seen.

Age suitability: 13+
AI: Shatterlight was designed and directed by CL Projects. The first playable body was hand-coded. Original music stems and loops were written in FL Studio. Grok helped with systems, cards, polish, and playtest fixes. It was not generated from a prompt, and it is not a template.

How to Play

Break the garden. Keep the ball alive. Build combo.

- Move the paddle with the mouse (or the keys you bound).
- Clear bricks. Glass, vein, dense, and echo behave different.
- Cards appear in three-card windows. Pick one. It changes the song.
- First Fracture is your opening pick.
- Combo conducts the music. Let it run. Do not drop it if you can help it.
- Survive the clock. A key can widen the bed.
- Elites hit harder. Treat them like they mean it.
- Death ends the run. Nothing carries except what the journal already saw.
- Open the journal between runs to see cards you have met.

There is no shop. There is no loadout. The song is the run.

Hello Kongregate community!

I am incredibly excited to officially launch Shatterlight v1.2 on the platform today!

Shatterlight was completely designed, directed, and hand-coded from scratch under CL Projects. Every line of the engine logic and canvas physics was built with pure creative focus. The original audio loops and dynamic music stems were written natively in FL Studio to deliver a polished, high-energy rhythm landscape that scales directly with your active gameplay choices.

(Note: For full developmental transparency, modern AI-assisted workflows via Grok were utilized to help optimize the codebase, polish complex backend systems, and clear layout bugs during production. It is not generated from a generic prompt, and it is not an asset-flipped template).

  1. 💥 The Core Gameplay Rules
  • The Loop: Precision physics meets tactical brick shattering.
  • The Core Hook: There are no traditional health points or danger bars. The rule remains simple: The ball falling kills the song. Keep the rhythm alive at all costs!
    1. 🗺️ The Path Ahead: Shatterlight: Rogue
This v1.2 build is just the initial baseline foundation for the universe. I am currently deep inside the development sandbox coding a massive, standalone sequel: Shatterlight: Rogue.

The upcoming standalone title will feature a true roguelike node-based progression system, unique character classes/paddles with in-depth passive tree upgrades, draftable item synergy cards, stubborn boss encounters, and an expanded multi-track soundtrack where the environment pulses directly to the frequency layers of the music.

    1. 💬 Leave Your Feedback!
As a solo independent developer, your feedback means everything to me. Please use this thread to drop your high scores, report any weird layout bugs, or share your thoughts on the dynamic music mechanics.

Thank you so much for playing, breaking blocks, and keeping the song alive!

Hello Kongregate! I am incredibly excited to launch Shatterlight v1.2 under CL Projects. This game was hand-coded from scratch, with original audio loops and music layers written natively in FL Studio to deliver a dynamic rhythm landscape that changes based on your play.

For full developer transparency, modern AI workflows via Grok were used to optimize backend math and clear layout bugs during production. It is a completely authentic passion project.

The rules are simple: Precision physics meets brick shattering. There are no traditional health points. The ball falling completely kills the song, so you must keep the rhythm alive at all costs.

This build is just the initial foundation for our universe. I am currently deep inside the studio sandbox hand-coding a massive, standalone sequel: Shatterlight Rogue. It features an atmospheric twelve-minute progressive music marathon structure, upgrade trees, and deep card synergies. Drop your scores and feedback below! Keep the song alive.
