Description
This is a tutorial on using Perlin Noise and the Threshold method of the BitmapData object to create textures in Flash, using only code. All of the code is selectable, so you can copy it out as you wish. Be aware that sometimes there is more code than will fit inside a box, so be sure to Select All when copying.

Hi diggoran. I made the last image look like a map on purpose. Something I am keeping in the back of my head in case I ever try making an RPG.

It is rated badly because, despite the fact that it is a TUTORIAL, people are upset that it is not a GAME. Such is life.

this is great, especially the idea of using the noise to generate maps. I've had a game floating around in my mind for a while that I'll probably be using that in. Thanks a lot!
