Description
bitโขDEFENSE is a fun little 8-bit up-down scrolling shooter game. I put a lot of effort into making each of the sprites and their death animations, as well as bullets. There are a lot of updates in a short amount of time so expect changes day by day! Thanks for playing, I will update as soon as possible. Future fixes/additions: Lives counter, Score counter, and more levels.
How to Play
LEFT-CLICK to shoot, arrow keys to move. Click anywhere near "PLAY" to play. Click on the blue discs dropped by bosses to advance to the next level.

โขChanged shooting behaviors for the player (tighter spray radius)
โขAuto-Spawn will be finished tomorrow. Itโs just not appealing to me right now.
โขTerrains will be changed into Asteroids that can be shot and destroyed. Thatโs for tomorrow.

Regarding your "rebuttal" of my request for WASD... I use my right hand for the mouse. Having my right hand "cross keyboard" for the arrow keys is uncomfortable and clunky. That said, whether YOU see the "need" or not isn't relevant. If you're developing games for players... you should consider taking their feedback. The project ended, did it? Incomplete and broken as it is?
I wonder why.
Lol why don't you develop a game with no free time. Good luck.

Please enable wasd controls. Also, if you get stuck on a barrier and pushed off screen, you don't die, but neither do you fly back onscreen, so the game is broken that way, too.
I don't see a need for WASD controls. Every keyboard with WASD also has arrow keys. Plus the numpad. Besides, the project ended. Sorry.
