The player kills instinctively those aliens beccause they just annoy him, then he discover that he is also an alien. So the player’s misanthropy come from what he don’t know and from his use as a gamer (Alien=Shoot !!!).
In fact If you let those aliens talk to you, your goal will be fulfilled faster.
